A large part of the Kingdom of Alcandia is covered by an extensive forest. There is no reliable knowledge about the origin of the name and there are many stories about the origin of name and here is one.
It is said that in the center of the everlasting forest grows an enormous tree. The tree is said to be eternal and produce fruit, which will remove the burden of death from the eater. It is believed that the tree will only grow fruits for chosen ones. Many have approached the tree but few have been worthy of its fruit. It is believed that grand elves are taking care and guarding the tree which then grows fruits of eternal life for the chose. Story tells that there have been times when the tree has given fruit for other people, not just the grand elves. There is, however, no knowledge about what had to be done to be worthy of the fruit. The tree is believed to be located at the centre of a massive grand elven city made of crystal and marble, where eternal summer predominates. It might be the tree also produces the heat maintaining eternal summer.
When the world had been created, the gods noticed that the very short life of morals turned out to be a problem when a person who was worthy of immortality. An'Gaia solved this problem by planting a tree that would grow a fruit for a person worthy of immortality. An'Gaia created the tree to be completely independent of the gods and gave it the ability to think.
The location of the grand elven city or the tree is not knwon. There is not other proof about the trees existance or that of the city other than this story, which is told all around the kingdom of Alcandia. It is said that long ago an old druid saved the life of a young grand elf and heard him rave about the eternal tree and his home city.
