About the only Inn in Golashkanev at this time, its very uncomplicated in style and the owner, a large troll named Korrki makes a good inkeeper as long as you dont start smashing up the place or generally doing anything he may take exception to.

The Inn is empty at the moment but the day is yet young.

Sir Niall enters the inn accompanied by several hulking blue trolls. They are engaged in spirited conversation in trollish and all looked slightly battered and dusty. None of the trolls are wearing the chapters livery.

Sir Niall approaches the bar, smiles, and speaks to Korrki (in troll),

"Hello, I am Sir Niall ap Trahern of the Knights of the Code. My fighting companions (he indicates the trolls) tell me this is the best place to come for a drink. Could I have kegs for them and a tankard for me?"

<Tellos walks in and looks around, spotting Sir Niall he walks up to him>

Hello Sir Niall, how's it going? I didn't realise you were here. This place is a bit tucked away, I was lucky one of the gate guards could just about speak a few of our words or I'd still be wandering!

Could you be so kind as to order me an ale please, as I as yet do not speak Trollish! :(

Kiran wanders in to the tavern shortly behind Tellos, having followed the Sergeant, knowing he'd find a drinking hole sooner or later.

"Ey there ya two, how's ya doin? I be 'opin ta learn this language before ah get back 'ome, tryin' ta teach em the basics o' Undead hunting is a chore, ta be sure..."

Laughing at her own joke, Kiran then orders a drink by pointing at what she wants and showing the money, then plonking down into a chair near Tellos.

Hiya Kiran, haven't seen you around for a while. What have you been up to?

Sir Niall smiles at the two companions he has not seen for months,

"Kiran, it is very good to see you. It has been quite some time I suspect! I had heard you were in the city, the description the trolls gave it could be no other dwarf!"

Sir Niall speaks to his fighting partners in troll and they join the same table bringing the ordered drinks for everyone.

"Allow me to introduce my friends, Gratzssh, Urgz-Ren and Lurgg." The blue trolls give toothy grins at Tellos and Kiran as thay sit down. Sir Niall look happy and untroubled, even in his slightly battered state. He passes the tankards across to Kiran and Tellos.

"Tellos watch the ale here it's a bit stronger."

The oversized door to the inn opens and a heavily armoured red troll enters muttering under his breath and heads to the bar half way the troll stops and looks round at the table upon seeing humans and dwarf set their a huge smile crosses his face
“ Good to see you friends I not know you still here” slapping the two humans on the back and then lifting the dwarf out of her since and giving her a big hug” Vola please to have friends here we drink and eat and talk so what you all doing here”

Sir Niall greets Vola and it's clear that the blue trolls also recognise him. He replies to Vola,

"I'm back at the Knight's Chapter House here and I'm their ambassador to Golaskanev."

Smiling in greeting to the trolls as Sir Niall introduces them, the Dwarven woman takes the tankard and takes a large gulp, rolling her eyes and shaking her head as the strength of the drink hits her, "Wow, now they certainly know 'ow to brew a decent ale round here. Me thanks ta you, Sir Niall."

Kiran laughs as she is lifted from her seat, then blushes a bit at the hug, "Alright Vola, you big git, tha' be enough. When'd you go turning red anyhow? Ya were a green beasty last time ah be seein' ya."

Turning back to the Knight, Kiran leans back in her chair putting her feet up on an adjacent empty chair,

"Ah thought these guys could use some skills against the damn Undead, unfortunatly they can't get the Rune magic, their skin just heals the wound too fast, stops the magic before the blood truely starts ta' flow. But, they get the idea and understand 'ow ya kill different ones now. Ah been trying ta learn Trollish and am getting there, just no' as quickly as you" Kiran laughs once more, slapping the Knight on the back as she leaned forward.

<Takes a big swig and coughs. Turns to the barman, raises his tankard in salute to the barman>
That's a very nice brew, not had a decent ale since before I left Escavon!

That's the main reason I'm here, not the ale but I'm looking for history on the Warriors and the Shield. Also any tales about Sorric, would any of you have any idea where would be a good place to start?

If you would like a hand teaching the finer points of swordmanship, I would be happy to lend a hand.

Sir Niall smiles,

"I seem to have a knack for the language Kiran, it has certainly made matters easier here to converse in troll. If you and Tellos are planning on remaining in Golaskanev then you are welcome to quarter yourselves at the Knight's chapter house, I have plenty of space and the company would also be appreciated."

He drinks from his tankard and looks thoughtful before replying to Tellos' question,

"If I was looking for information on Sorric I would speak to the Troll Elders as documens have been uncovered in the restoration. It may be worth speaking to the Spirit Elves as they are so long lived some may even have personal knowledge."

"Ay Lad, if'in ya don't mind me stayin there, that'd be a great 'elp. Me poor purse don' like payin' for rooms each night and ah get's bored sleepin' under the stars."

Turning to Tellos, Kiran frowns slightly, "Tellos, ah don' have a clue ah'm afraid. But, if ya gonna be wanderin' round lookin' fer clues, give me a shout. Ya can always use a bi' of muscle at yer side when lookin' in new places..."

Sir Niall smiles,

"I would be pleased if both of you would stay."

Sir Niall sits back and enjoys his drink in good company. He smiles then asks Kiran and Tellos,

"Is there any news from Prodigio and the Protected Zone, I've heard nothing since I returned here in the summer?"

Were you there when the new legal system was announced?

The council decided the old one didn't work, so they have completely revised it, the first person to fall foul of the new laws was Book, surprise, surprise!

Vola looks around at Kirin “you wrong troll can use blood magic but troll need to think not heal when he cut Rune into skin if he not think he will heal and magic go away. So you teach me how to do this and I teach you how to talk troll we have deal

Sir Niall nods in reply to Tellos,

"Yes, the announcement about the Brehon guild had been made and the general application of laws to the differing levels of society announced. However, nothing was said of the laws themselves."

They still hadn't when I left, Kiran how does this Rune magic of yours work?

"I'll check the next dispatch from the Preceptor's office when it arrives. If anything has been announced it should be reported within. Now that the Golashanev Chapter is fully operational we tend to receive some correspondence from the Protected Zone. "

"Aye Vola, tha' sounds like a plan ta me, just let me finish me pint an' i'm all yours.."

Kiran turns to Tellos as she drinks more ale, cringing slightly at the strength of the stuff, "It be like blood magic lad, ya need ta carve the runes inta your flesh and the symbol and blood mix tagether to make tha power, causing the spell ta work."

What kinds of things can you do with it?
The only experience I have with blood magic is the staff that Trevellian was wrongfully given!

"Each rune has a different effect, whether it be ta keep one chosen Undead away from ya, fer a time, or ya can enable ya sword ta hurt tha bastards more. Ya can even use ya blood ta ward a doorway so certain types o' them can't get past it.."

So is it all anti-Undead?

"Being tha' its the magic o' the Undead hunters, aye lad, its all Anti Undead in some way.."

Would you be willing to teach me about it?
As a member of the Warriors of Light, I am sworn to destroy the Undead by any means possible, this Rune magic would be a very useful skill for us to learn.
Would you like to join the order? You would be a valued asset and you would be granted other abilities to help you destroy the Undead.

"Thanks for the offter Tellos, bu' I already be a Nobody an am bound ta them through more than just me word. Bu' I'm teaching the Rune magic ta Vola, now he's worked out how ta use it, so jus' come along an i'll teach you too."

Having said that, Kiran finishes her pint, burps rather loudly and says goodbye to Sir Niall,

"If'in ya interested too, ya can come along. The more the merrier a' the end of the day."

<Downs the rest of his ale, coughs, shakes his head once and stands waiting for any of the others that might be joining them>

Sir Niall smiles,

"I'll would like to come along, but just to observe at the moment if that is acceptable. It never hurts to have another pair of watchful eyes, should we find any pocket of undead."

He speaks in trollish to Gratzssh, Urgz-Ren and Lurgg and the innkeeper before leaving.

Vola takes a tank from the bar and drink it in one go he then looks at the tankard and then at the barman and back to his friends and bursts into laughter” so you give them drink we give young trolls when they first start, may be that good idea they take little time to get used to our drink” Vola then heads after Tellos and Kiran
