The area immediately around the moat surrounding the chapter house is laid to neatly kept lawns which bear the marks of being scythed regularly. A path of compacted gravel leads sinously to the rising causeway which allows entrance to the Chapter House via the solid Gatehouse. There are no concealed approaches to the Chapter House and at least two men-at-arms are present at all times.

Sir Niall and four men-at-arms march from the Chapter House out into the harsh winter weather. A dark storm front is brewing on the horizon and the temperature dropping as they leave the city.

*Thomas walks towards the gatehouse*

The guards at the gate watch the approach of the gentleman.
"is there anything we can help you with sir ?" they ask. "I beleive Sir Caelwin is in residence." They check the man out visually looking for obvious and concealed weapons.

*Well dressed in a white shirt, black trousers, long coat and boots, with no sign of weapons and a satchel over his shoulder; Thomas stops before the guards*

"Ah, yes, I'm Thomas Aquain, Secretary to the Warriors of Light. I was wondering if Squire was in? I had a question or two for him."

"Ah, yes, I'm Thomas Aquain, Secretary to the Warriors of Light. I was wondering if Squire was in? I had a question or two for him."

one of the guards nods,
"I believe squire is in, let me escort you to the reception hall. If you could care for a drink while you wait I will ask one of the junior squires to find him."
The guard leads the gentleman to the reception hall, he calls to the first squire he comes across.
"Josua, please inform squire that a gentleman is here to see him."

"Thankyou"

*Follows the guard*

Just as they go to enter into the building a large shape comes slowly walking from inside. With his head down and a large pile of stuff of washing on his back. Squire slowly steps out into the reception area.

"Did I just hear my name Sir?"

Squire stands up not looking as if he was dropping a bead of sweat.

"What can I help you with Sir?"

"Hello Squire, I'm Thomas Aquain, the Secretary for the Warriors of Light. I was wondering if I might be able to look at the documents that pertain to Order and its relationship to the Shield of Lars?"

"Sir, I will need proof first of who you are? It is not to say you aren't but certain information I do not want the wrong people getting their hands on."

Squire smiles an ogerish smile.

*frowns but nods*

"Fair point. I don't actually have any identification on me. I could get a letter from Captain Daniel or you could come down to the HQ if you have time free?"

Let us go see Sir Daniel and then we shall get this sorted owt sir! Please lead the way!"

"Righto. We're just off the market square."

*Starts to head off.*

Follows, carrying the heavy pile on his back

*Glances back and pauses*

"Should you not leave that here or...?"
