Description: HELP!!
Sir Brock Yates - March 21, 2006 05:39 PM (GMT)
I'm looking for a lift. I'll be arriving by coach. Or Train.
Please please please can I have a lift from the Station (Bus or Train).
Any offers??
Trevellian Moss - March 21, 2006 11:31 PM (GMT)
What time?
I may possibly be able to ask if I can...
Sir Brock Yates - March 24, 2006 07:42 PM (GMT)
Have no idea to be honest. I've got the whole day off. So I'm thinking Possibly around four. However Coaches and times?? Ermmm Nah. So flexibility is the key I hope.
Sir Brock Yates - March 28, 2006 08:26 PM (GMT)
Anyone???????????
I have the day off so times are strictly base don public transport.
Sir Brock Yates - April 2, 2006 02:07 PM (GMT)
It's going to be at the Milton Keynes Train Station. Roughly about 4pm to 5pm (ish). I'll give more details when I have booked the ticket.
Also I'll need a lift back to said station at about 4:30pm (ish) so I can catch the 4:50pm train.
Please please please can someone help??
Omnipotent Overlord - April 2, 2006 02:55 PM (GMT)
If no-one else can get you mate ill come get you from the coach station so dont fret about it too much :D
Sir Brock Yates - April 2, 2006 03:06 PM (GMT)
I'll be at the train station.. Ahhhhh :o :o :o ;) :D
SaphDragon - April 2, 2006 04:58 PM (GMT)
Twill be easier for someone to get you from the train rather than the bus station mate, it's nearer and easier to get to :P
Sir Brock Yates - April 2, 2006 05:50 PM (GMT)
Twix!! YAY... the train journey is only £2 more expensive but a LOT more space.
SaphDragon - April 2, 2006 06:14 PM (GMT)
Plus if need be you can actually get the Bus to near to the site (Indeed it goes past the front of the camp, so if you ask nicely the driver might let you get out)
Let me know if you want details, you might need to get a bus up to Milton Keynes Centre from the train station (Be about 50p ish from the train station)
I have bus timetables and stuff, as it's the bus I get to and from MK and Northampton.
Omnipotent Overlord - April 2, 2006 07:23 PM (GMT)
even better its closer than the coach station

If your real desperate you could get the train to wolverton not MK think its the next station along...only 4 mile walk by the river from there to the site....:)
I did it last year on way to the easter event so is feasible although if your not used to walking long distances i wouldnt recommend it.
SaphDragon - April 6, 2006 09:21 PM (GMT)
Your right it's the next station along, however tis the canal not the river.
(There is a small shortcut at cosgrove lock that takes you nearer to the site then walking into the village and out again btw, but tis a bit hidden, comes out right opposite the entrance to the site though)
If you want the details, let me know
Oh and the extra stop to wolverton shouldent be too much in the way of more cost, if your lucky, and Silverlink dont feel like being git-like.
ALso dont take the canal route if you have issues with Heights, as you go over the aqueduct over the river and tis a tad on the tall side

Trelaine - April 6, 2006 09:37 PM (GMT)
You can give me details of that short cut...i'll probebly be wandering into wolverton to get my drinky stash after dropping my kit off at site.
SaphDragon - April 7, 2006 04:33 PM (GMT)
Prob best if I show you it then mate, as from the site it's abit harder to spot.
COming from the canal it's easy.
Basically you go down the side fo the field opposite the site entrance, and hive off left down what was the Towpath fo the now defunct Deanshanger arm of the canal, the arm is blocked off a ways along and just used as a mooring arm. it's been a while since I used it but should be fine.
It;s east form the canal as you just cross over the lock, and walk down the towpath on the arm then follow it allong till you get to the field and turn right and up to the site.
Trelaine - April 7, 2006 04:54 PM (GMT)
While I think of it...any idea if there is any small supermarkets nearer than tesco in the immediate area of the site.
Daniel - April 7, 2006 04:57 PM (GMT)
There are some down the road in Stony.
