Title: Outside the Guardhouse

Trelaine - April 4, 2006 07:04 PM (GMT)
*Trelaine wanders near to the guardhouse, noticing the obvious signs of the potential violence (Limbs flying out windows, blood curdling screams of agony, building collapsing in flames) are not currently happening he finds a nearby tree and sits back against it*

Nice day for a picnic,

*gets an apple from his bag and has lunch*

Daniel - April 5, 2006 06:26 PM (GMT)
*nods to Trelaine as he walks into the Guardhouse*

Soot - April 5, 2006 06:32 PM (GMT)
Soot arrives looking slightly out of breath. He notices Trelaine having his picnic and sits down next to him. He produces a bag of nuts from a pocket and starts munching.

"want one?"

Trelaine - April 5, 2006 06:35 PM (GMT)
Ooh I could be tempted by a quick mouthful of your nuts while waiting for hell to kick off... All seems quiet in there at the moment....

*takes a few nuts*

So...what do you make of this undead thing ideas then...Good idea to do what he says? I can't help thinking that facing an army of the undead created by magic a temporary inbalance in that magic might actually be good for us...

Soot - April 6, 2006 08:41 PM (GMT)
"I'm relieved that this imbalance hasn't affected their ability to fight the T'cra mainly."

"I think it is a good is idea for us to investigate this source of power for the Protected zone the shadow spoke of. And I do believe it will turn out to be the Tree."

carries on munching

Trelaine - April 6, 2006 09:00 PM (GMT)
While it is true noone now knows the true purpose of the tree, one thing i had never considered is that it may be connected to the source of elemental power to this land.

[munches a nut]

I am not saying it is not, but I believe it is unlikely to be the same thing........[thinks for a moment]

However if you believe as I do that the tree connects to all living creatures in a unseen way it is defiantely a entity of magic so it would be possible it is located nearby so as to draw strangth from the source.

I still dont like the idea of doing what this beastie says though he has his own plans and i doubt he has told us what to do for our benefit.

Soot - April 9, 2006 05:55 PM (GMT)
"I am fairly sure that the Undead had an alterior motive for telling us what he did, but if Kyloras and Book really did break something then it is in our best interests to fix it."

"I'd best go for a slash."

"On my way back I will begin talk to my sources on how we might cure Umbrial. This situation has shown there is just too much of a risk."

Trevellian Moss - April 9, 2006 10:25 PM (GMT)
"Have I missed anything? I took a wrong turn in that place..."

Trelaine - April 10, 2006 10:16 AM (GMT)
You missed lunch....

Trelaine - April 10, 2006 05:06 PM (GMT)
Anyway soot...I have already thought of this, quite a while ago before his execution Ghorn spoke of a cavern, cave or something similar that had the power to cure any corruption... At the time i gave it little thought...my mind wasn't quite so clear as to what was happening then which is a pity now....howver if the scroll is still held within our number it may give us clues as to where to find this cave and remove the affliction from umbral...

As Ghorn held the original prehaps one of the bastion is now the guardian of it.
