Binding the weapon requires two things. Firstly the specially prepared juice of the rare Karanasi plant. Few of these plants are known to exist but they are around, they have a broad green leaf and a vibrant blue berry. Generally the plant is considered lethal to anyone who would be foolish enough to eat it but if prepared specially you can bring out its mystical properties. The method of preparation take 3-4 weeks to complete but if you are in urgent need you the Fey use the prepared juice of the Karanasi plant for various uses they do not speak of and can be persuaded to part with some if the price is right.

The second object you need are shadowdeep pearls. The only known source is at the bottom of the underground lake near the Kraan settlement. There are oysters at the bottom of the lake that have been known to produce them although even then they are rare.

Once you have the ingredients you must crush the pearls and mix the powder with the juice and a little of the blood of the person the sword is to be bound to.

Finally a simple ritual is required to separate the spirit and body of the swords wielder to be and to bind the spirit to the sword before returning it to its body.
