The methods once used to create the transport circle network have sadly become unusable various reasons, The main reason was the great drain on the elemental plane of air that such circles have made. If we continued to build them the plain of air would effectively cease to be and we cannot allow that to happen as the balance must be preserved.

All is not lost however, there are other ways of creating the circles that can be used with varying levels of success. Given the current political climate on the elemental planes and here the method most likely to succeed while being most difficult to actually pull off is detailed here. There are other methods, some that require living sacrifices and some which require power is ripped from the elementals without their consent. We would do neither as it is not our ways however others may see them as easier alternatives that what I propose here.

If you want to make a transport circle you need the following ingredients:

The consent of a Lord of Air for the circle to be built
The consent of a Lord of Air for a term of service from one of his elementals
A large supply of the magical ore known as Intresium, enough to make two suits of plate amour at least.
A favor from a fire elemental
A suitable site for the circle

What needs to be done is as follows:

Firstly obtain the relevant permissions of the different elementals.

Secondly obtain the Intresium ore and give it to the fire elemental who will take it away. Fear not it will be returned at the time you wish to create your circle.

Thirdly prepare your site, it needs to be purified of any residual magical taint it may have. Create the circle using stones to denote the edge markers but the central stone must have a piece of Intresium at its heart no smaller than a fist in size. The name the transport circle is to be given must be engraved upon this piece of Intresium before its placed within the central stone.

When it is time for the creation of the circle you will be visited by not one but two air elementals. One will become the power that drives your circle, the other is there to receive payment. The fire elemental will also return with the two sets of curious armour forged from the ore and it too will require payment for its services.

The ritual is in two parts. Firstly you have to give payment to the elementals for their service. To do this one of the air elementals and the fire elemental will need to be fused in to a set of the Intresium armour, hence why you need enough for two sets. It will require a fully fledged ritual to perform this act as Intresium is highly magical and requires significant magics to manipulate it. However any reasonably competent mage with knowledge of ritual magic should be able to perform the ritual to bond the elementals to their new armour. I should note that the ritualist must be very careful not to accidentally bond the two elementals together as well.

Once you have bound the two elementals in to their new armour they will assist in the second part of the ritual to create the circle and to bind the remaining Air elemental in to it. The ritualist still needs to direct the ritual and perform the right actions and phrases but with the elementals present to help manipulate the flows of magic make the ritual a much shorter process.

If you have performed the rituals correctly then you should have two armoured elementals and one functioning transport circle when you are done.
