Title: Weeeeeeeeeeeee!!!
Daniel - April 17, 2006 03:56 PM (GMT)
When's the next one?
I had loads of fun once again.
Thanks to Pete, Royce and the rest of the refs and crew for a great event, and huge thanks to Jacqui for yet more wonderful and amazing food! ^_^
Trelaine - April 17, 2006 07:42 PM (GMT)
Another fine event gents...personal hightlights were the shouting match me and ash got into and the sirens section although i'd rather not see that much of ferrety dave again for a while......thanks to Jacqui for wonderful food and the much welcomed return of the pears and a special thanks to the monster crew who i though did even better than normal...the new guy and girls especially did a fine job in convincing us they have been doing this for years rather than playing first event...hope you enjoyed it enough to come back again for more.
but for now time to find myself somewhere nice and calm to curl up and die for a while....

Sir Niall ap Trahern - April 17, 2006 07:50 PM (GMT)
Much kudos to the crew and players, it was great first FG event for me. Excellent plotlines for the Knight's Order and plently for us to do. Thoroughly enjoyed it and feel LRP re-invigorated as a result. :P
Personal favourites were fighting the two stone gargoyles and the two fights with the waves of re-spawning monsters. I don't think I'm going to forget the gleeful giggling of monsters as they ran back in at 'time freeze'. The weeds, flowers and frogs were funny and I'd like to thank the monster crew (sorry I can't remember you name) who had to run around in the dark realm in a white boiler suit trying to avoid us catching him. I got you twice, hurrah! :D

Sir Brock Yates - April 17, 2006 08:05 PM (GMT)
Lots of fun. Great event from the Crew and REFs!!!!
If only I'd not taken as much kit. Darn you for making us leave it in Prodigio!!!! Anyway the gigle fit with the frogs was just a classic. And it's been a long time since I have seen Magic "Rugby Tackled"!!!
A Special thanks to the knights!!! Thanks lads really made my event our "chats" of "I need to talk to you.... no I need to talk to you!!"
Cheers!
Gav
Jym - April 17, 2006 08:33 PM (GMT)
hahahaha I was the one in the white boiler suit. Fear me and my frog powers.
Had a stupidly high amount of fun. And that rugby tackle bloody hurt.
Thanks to jacqui for the food and everyone else for having a bloody good time.
See you all in the summer if not before.
Sir Brock Yates - April 17, 2006 08:46 PM (GMT)
GREAT FOOD!!!! Thanks Jaqui... and Keep up the good work in telling Patch off a Mistress to behold!!! ;)
Isobel - April 17, 2006 09:03 PM (GMT)
I cant believe i'm still awake!! but i cant stop thinking about he event
Thanks to everyone for a most fantabulous time.
I know the four day events are hard for everyone but wow its so worth it, I think I have had more time to chat with you all got to know you all a little better both in character and out and had a chance to develope my character a bit too
It has done both ferret and me the world of good to be reminded that there is so much fun to be found outside of beeing parents
Highlights for me were the chats in troll speak ,cookies cooking, fighting the juganaught and being smacked in the face with a huge hammer in the pitch darkness and finding out it didnt hurt a bit !
THANKS GUYS YOUR ALL AMAZING
cant wait to see you all again soon
take care
Isobel & ferret
Dodgy Elf - April 18, 2006 12:01 AM (GMT)
Just gone midnight and i've just regained conciousness, albeit only to re-hydrate.
Before slinking back to my pit I'd like to thank Pete and the rest of the crew for a fantastic event! Mum did us proud with the food as usual (and yes i did get the left over cream for my late night scones shame you were all chasing frogs at the time or i could have shared!!)
Big up to the monsters again, their energy seems endless. The newbie monsters were a shock to the system. The sound of monsters giggling when they spawn, the discussions of vorpal phalic weapons and of course georges frogs already haunt me. Lets hope they return!
look forward to being at the next event. I hope i will be able to stay awake long enough to not be left behind next time though. and look forward to the troll phrase book being released.
Favourite phrase made nicky after mike hit her repeatedly with his enchanted sword " I'll ****** enchant you!"
Bigred - April 18, 2006 08:45 AM (GMT)
Yep the bigred one agree's with all the above comments thanks for an absolutely amazing time you organizee people put on a great show. The food platters have been consumed and memory of them shall be committed as another wonder of the world the ninth one i believe. And yes a troll phrase book is in construction.
Ouch fingers still working vocal chords dead arrrrggghhh!!!! lol

Hi Pete thanks for a fun 4 days, pain level just beginning to subside. This has been a real eye opener, playing for the first time after monstering for so long. My first thanks must go to cookie, thanks for all the good food. Secondly to the players and monsters who helped with washing up thanks that meant a lot to both of us. Thanks to all the players for making me feel welcome and I look forward to playing with you all again, oops maybe re-phrase that better. To the monsters - hey guys and gals that was great, to our newbies sincerely please come back again you were really good and I would not have thought that was your first time. Special memories - the re-spawning giggling monsters, that crazy giggling weed (power to the greens). Big let down - the five monsters in the death lands who thought that I'd gone down, I'd just slipped and I was so looking forward to slapping your butts and finally just a big big thanks to everyone for such a fun 4 days.
Looking forward to meeting up with you all again. Patch
cookie - April 18, 2006 09:49 AM (GMT)
Hi everyone. Thanks so much for such a great 4 days. I loved being able to spend more time getting to know you all better in and out of character this time round. Jodie, I could have spent all night talking with you but god knows what state breakfast would have been. Thanks Joy for all the photocopied recipes and for all your help in the kitchen. Thanks also Tracey for lending me that book, sorry I forgot to give it back to you on Monday but pass on your address and I'll put it in the post, thanks also for carving the beef that was a massive help. A big thanks in general to everyone who helped wash up etc I really needed your help and couldn't have cooked so well without it and thanks for all the laughs and crazy moments. Looking forward to meeting up with you again, if you've any requests for the next menu let me know. One final note as I try to get out of this chair - in the trollish words of Big Red, Ummm Lummbaaaagooo
Dandelion - April 18, 2006 10:07 AM (GMT)
Teeheeheehee power to the greens!
Yes, tis i, Nikki, just signing up to say a big thankyou to you all for not taking my liver and selling it on the black market.
No really, even if it didn't show i was petrified of role playing in front of so many strangers but you all made me feel so welcome that i was quickly able to let myself go and enjoy it... and I got to hit things :D
A big thankyou to Pete for inviting us. If it wasn't for him we would never have gotten to eat such yummy food stuffs and i probably would never have experienced anything like this in my life. Was a wonderfully new experience :)
Oh, and thankyou to Patch for giving Fii that new route home. The journey back was so much more barable thanks to your advice. We even managed to just beat the ebil across town traffic, hurrah!
Trelaine - April 18, 2006 10:17 AM (GMT)
noone got the liver? we must of let you off lightly then we normally get at least one bodypart for sale each time someone new turns up :)
Glad you had fun hope it was enough to convince you and the others to come again some time.
kiran deathbane - April 18, 2006 10:44 AM (GMT)
OWIE!!! I'm not quite sure where I hurt most at the moment hehe And my voice is non existant *Listens for the sound of cheering now the Dwarf is finally quiet*
Thank you all for an amazing event, beating the crap out of me, being threatened by me, and all the wonderful hugs!
Favourite part for me had to have been pointing out the 15ft demon fire thingy had lost a tassle then the Nobodies beating the crap out of him while he looked down for it ;)
Jackie, next time we will have to make Patch sort the breakfast out so we can just sit and chat till the morning comes hehehehe.
Anyhoo, thanks to the Ref's (especially Sarah for all the ref cuddles I got as I passed her) the monsters, the players, cookies, hell everyone :D
Pilot - April 18, 2006 11:11 AM (GMT)
ARGH, WEIRDOS!!!
Howdy!
Thanks for an enjoyable weekend - I didn't know getting beaten up could be so much fun ... thanks for all being so very tolerant of myself and the other new monsters. The monsters and players made us feel very welcome (especially once the players shed their character's egos, hahaha! :D ). Thanks for the foooood. Best bits were the child hunters, the giggling spawn, celestial male appendages, and that famous "pollenate" moment!! I think that was the most damage I inflicted solo, hehehe! Would like to do it all again, time / work / quids / Her Majesty permitting!!! Journey home was so much better (thanks Patch) but a couple of knights could have done the honorable thing and escorted us home! (nudge nudge).
Yeeeeeeeeh-HAH!
Fii x
Filmy Ref - April 18, 2006 05:42 PM (GMT)
Big thank you to the monsters for being fab, and cheers to the players for being so amusing. I'm so glad you all had such a good time with the weed plot.
Hugest most fabbest thank you to Jaqui for the marvellous food.
Hope to see you all again next time.
SaphDragon - April 18, 2006 06:55 PM (GMT)
Ta to EVERYONE for making it such a good event, I'm just sorry I didn't get to see more of the players getting tormented by our levley monster crew
High points
George with her mad (But so TOTALY kewl) monster ideas and facepaint (Watch out monsters, next time she comes I fear she will be attacking us all with paint)
The whole monster team giggling like loons running in as Spawn in a time freeze, and to quote Fii "AGAIN AGAIN!!!"
Sitting up till late talking and drinking with the die hards, see I can do it without having any unfortunate projectile after effects
Andy & Karen for a sterling job helping with the monster team.
All the poor victims of the Sirens for playing in the spirit of the game with such gusto.
The food, I cant add anything more other than "YUMMEH!!!!!!!!"
Now all I need is to get a kevlar shirt for next event to protect my sensitive bits, or I shall be running in fear from George next event. my poor nipplets will never be the same again. :o

SaphDragon - April 19, 2006 12:52 AM (GMT)
Grin, well I did hear his poor mind snap from clear across the clearing at the time.
Alasse Birchkin - April 19, 2006 11:47 AM (GMT)
Not much I can add, really. It was a fabulous weekend and I had a great time.
Good food, great company, lots of laughs and hugs and I made it home with my dodgy foot still intact!
Thanks to everyone (players and monsters alike) for making it such a wonderfully enjoyable 4 days. I can't wait to meet up with you guys in the summer - no matter what plot Pete and Royce have in store for us!

Hi
first time on the board - I knew I wouldn't get away from not using these things. As for the event, marvellous, I totally enjoyed this event, more than the last four dayer which is saying something. Humour was outstanding, combat good, plot good and monster participation was great. Several members of the crew, mainly the females and I'm not talking about the dodgy beared variety of the event, need to visit psychiatrists. I'm sure there must have been an outbreak in Arkem asylem and they are after three young ladies. Sorry to the monster who I rugby tackled to the floor one dark night. Sorry for going ablistic at the party during the rope incident, I must admit I enjoyed that a little too much.
As a final note I would like to thank Pete for a great time, the crew who were exceptional fun, Jackie for the hard work and of course the players.

These old bones they be a creaking.
What a weekend. Thanks to all the monsters for a great time as well as the refs and their omnipotent overlord PETE. Also thanks for the fun to all the Players. I have loads of memmories and one big thank you to Pete and royce for the iC and OOC mind feck you guys had made me.
I hope to see you all soon and until then have great fun and laughs you all deserve.
I am but a humble Squire at yer service.
Thankyou Jacquie for once again a beautiful and scrumptious set of meals and I'm glad those that tasted my Stir-fry enjoyed it.
I still have nightmares about which night was going to pound my head in first to get me to remember my past :D
Keep safe and well.

Largos - April 21, 2006 09:12 PM (GMT)
Damn good event. Hope out burst on last day diddn't ruin anything. Thanks to those who put new glass in.
Will pay of course and bring drink next time to compensate. Any prefernces?
Apart from that who else thought that the placing of the green party plot on last night was sureal?
Also congrats to to our brilliant chief who set out a great spread. please come back next year.
Hope the new monsters are willing to come back next time. If not plaese beg. It may work.
On a final note if any one has any suggestions on how to get my character out of current prediciment as am still newish to system anything wil be considered.
Trelaine - April 21, 2006 09:29 PM (GMT)
rule 1: never boast about it until at least 2 events after you've sold it on...and then only if you've been caught out anyway.
rule 2: never sell it on during event it was aquired.
rule 3: make sure ferret was in area at time of aquisition. :)
and sometimes you just get caught...u could just own up I dont think theft is a neckstretch crime and you might get favourable judgement from the guard for this one crazy event you obviously did while drunk/under influence of the ratmen/for a dare that went wrong/etc...
Dodgy Elf - April 21, 2006 10:22 PM (GMT)
I'm sorry Trelaine but you are seriously wrong on the one about owning up but one of your suggestions has merit.
1. If ferret is within a ten mile radius of the aquisition you can blame him because he'll probably have nicked it off you by the time they get around to accusing you.
2. Always have an alibi (note. Cleaning you hair just won't wash with most juries. boom boom) This is one thing family are good for.
3. Fence it quickly. Preferably find a buyer and aquire to order, that way it's their problem to hide it and you get some fast cash.
4. If caught with an item then do one of 3 things.
a. Deny it was you (you were framed) .... doesn't work well.
b. " I was liberating it for [ insert name ] who it was stolen off ....needs selective use.
c. Pay the accusers off... they are probably not getting much of a reward to get it back so make it worth their while to look the other way.
now off with you grasshopper and don't get caught!

Isobel - April 21, 2006 11:39 PM (GMT)
Largos
best rule of all Dont pee in your own back yard.
You live in Prodigio so stealing from the locals is a bad idea as they are the ones who provide most of our kit.
another option is not to steal at all but thats just Isobel being an idealist again
Another option would be to return said item and offer the owner some sort of compensation you could hunt hides for her for free for a year and become an aminal hunter and turn those nimble fingers to good use eventually she may even teach you how to be a real tanner,
If all else fails run for it and never return to Prodigio again.
