Soot strides into the room the ceiling shifting to a bright yellow immediately above his head and following him as he makes his way across.

He waves at Anthony as he passes and and heads out towards the library.

The ceiling again spotlights Soot in Yellow as he returns he waves again to Anthony and heads out, his bags looking lighter for the most part.

Umbrial comes down the set of stairs from her office into the Great Hall. She yawns and stretches her legs. The ceiling reflects mood of a light green colour and follows her down the stairs.

A very tired and worried looking squire comes through the open door.

he looks around trying to find someone
"is there a lady unbrial about?"

He says in a raised voice

She turns her head dozily at the sound of her name, and sees the large ogre.
"Hello, may I help you?"

A batterd and bruised Isobel walks in just after squire
oh Hi squire I,m looking for Umbrial as well but I,m happy to wait I will go and have a mooch in the library for a bit let me know when you have finished.

Looks over at Isobel:
"Thank you lady isobel I will let you know as soon as possible."

The large Ogre bows and then turns towards umbrial

"I was wondering if you could help me in a personal matter milay and to check a couple of things out for me. I may not have much but what ever I can do I would be glad to offer you. "

He smiles at Umbrial.

"What can I do you for?"
She grins.

"Do you know any way of checking or returning back to me my memmory at all for it has come to light that I may have a lot of my memmory bocked from me. I will discuss in private later why I ask such a weird question. Could you please see if it was magic that has altered my memmory so.

I also would like to ask if you can tell me anything about these please."

Squire pulls out from his backpack a selection of 4 small vials and what looks to be a stone egg.

"I know that the vials are some sort of water magic and the egg seems to e living and is giving off some sort of earth magics. I hope that you can help me with these my memmory most of all milady as I would then truly be able to know who I am."

Squire looks hopeingly at umbrial.

"Also do you know where to find a memeber or chapter house of the order known as The Shield of Lars?"

Morgrim strolls i9nto the great hall with an orange colour shining brightly above his head , he pauses looking at the signs and heads toward the library

Umbrial acknowledges Morgrims entrance with a little wave, then goes back to thinking very hard about Squires questions.

Morgrim walks over to Umbrial , " im sory to disturb you , i mean not to break you from your track of thought , i need some advice as you allready kow balance for the elementals has been restored . I gave my apoligies to the elementals for the mess up in the ritual and as a reward i was given this " Morgrim takes a bottle of water and wets his hand and brings a small urchin from his bag " i need some advice on what i use this for as i am still very new to the arts of the elements, is it possible you could share your wealth of knowledge with me?"

Morgrim looks around the room , taking in the colour that is projected on the ceiling from Umbrial " I can see your deep in thought, i will disturb you no longer , i will return soon ."
Morgrim turns toe , and leaves the hall.

*Book walks into the room... not realising what the colour is over his head... The colour following him around is a Darkness akin to charcoal grey*

All of the denizens of the room turn and look at him briefly then go about their business, Anthony at the desk, Umbrial deep in thought, Squire next to Umbrial, and several mages carrying writing equipment to the library. One carries a sickly looking potted plant from one room to another, another very smokey looking mage limps painfully over to another wing, and returns shortly afterwards, looking much healthier.
A member of the guard watches a fountain in the room making silly faces at him, and pulls funny faces back to the amusement of the elemental.

<Tellos marches up to Umbrial, snaps off a salute and waits for her to address him>

She smartly stands and salutes Tellos back.
"Good Evening Private Tellos. At ease. What would you like to talk about?"
She nods a welcome to Book.

<relaxes into a typical "at ease" stance>
Good Evening Major, could you direct me to the library please, I am looking for historical texts relating to the Lords, could you recommend a librarian who could help me find out some information please?

Soot arrives at the hall and notices Book. The colour swirls above his head briefly. He Raises an eyebrow.

He notices Tellos talking to Umbrial and Hangs back. The colour settles on a lime green.

"Ok, Tellos, if you go straight ahead and follow the sound of scribbles, possibly follow one of these young mages with the inky fingers and they should be able to help you find someone to guide you in the Library.

Squire, I know nothing about the order of the Sheild of Lars, I don't know of a way to regain your memory, the egg is not magical but is stone, (OOC Pete will put what the vials are on your next battleboard) and these vials, I'l pop a note on each one.

Morgri.... oh bum.... he's buggered off."

She presents the Stone Egg to Snakey who peers at it, and her eyes glaze slightly.
"Squire, I suggest you look after this young... thing, as it is to Earth as the Pheonix to fire."

She then notices Soot and the area above her head on the ceiling swirls yellow and purple.... it is quite vile.

"Heya Sooty!"

Heya. Tellos suggested that it might be a good idea to get some combat drilling as a group and wondered if you could arrange it. He was a little unsure about asking you himself. I thought some of the guard here in the order would be familiar with drilling with mages so we could try out some new things.

Any way said my bit. I'm on my way to the Chapter House cos Caelwin has asked for to have a word.

Entering the hall of magic with Soot, the ceiling turned a reddish colour, clashing terribly with the lime green above Soot.

Waiting quietly and trying to keep out the way, Kiran nodded a hello to Umbrial, hoping they would not be in here for too long. Almost as soon as they had entered, Soot was ready to leave, the red ceiling above her dulled slowly to an orange as the relieved Dwarf left the hall of magic.

Heads over to Anthony
Do you think it would be ok for me to talk to Umbrial now I have somthing to show her but dont want to interupt her chat with squire< Isobel shows the palm sized ball in her hand>

*Book waits patiently for those who have come to speak... to depart*

Hmmm I've never seen so many Mages in all my life. And a trapped Elemental.. amazzing.

*The Colour over Book's head starts turning a Dead red with Flecks of Black*

Umbrial giggles at Books indignation.
She directs her gaze at Isobel:"Be with you in a sec"
She then turns to the direction of the fountain and the guard, who are throwing a small effigy of a duck between them.
"Bubbles dear, come and say hello...."
The fountain turns and looks at Book, part of it gets out of the bowl and skitters over to Umbrial hiding behind one of her legs shyly, sucking it's thumb.
"Who da' blue man Umbria'?" The small watery girl cocks her head towards Book.
"He's called Book."
"OOOooooh, like da' ones in da' libby?"

"That's right dear, he thinks I've got you trapped!" At this point, Umbrial bends down and cuddles the child, picking her up underneath her arms and nuzzling her nose, the elemental toddler squeals with joy, and laughs, then settles in place within Umbrials hug.
"Now, tell the nice man why you're here...."
"'Cos mummies in da' moat!" She giggles.
"Who's clever! Who's mummy wanted a little break from her precocious child to have a relaxing sit in my big old moat? Hey? It's you!!" Umbrial tickles the child till she wriggles free of the hug.
Bubbles notices Book again, and she smiles, then starts to run round his legs shouting:
"Book, Book, Book, Book, Book, Book, Book, Book, Book!"
Umbrial crouches waiting for the inevitable fall, and wail of a small child who is aware they're being watched.
Instead the toddler runs back toward the fountain and dives back in giggling to Umbrial.
"Heee, I've wet myself!"
Umbrial stands back up, looking rather weary.
"The Order is based on favours, sometimes they are dangerous item retreivals, and sometimes they just want a break from the kids."

Morgrim strides into the hall with the same orange swirl above his head " ah Umbrial , hope ive caught you at a better time? " Morgrim notices Book " ...but i can wait till you have finished with present company of course ,"

*Book is just stunned*.. You have such "close" contact with Elemental kin... it is ..... astounding.

You are based on favours... intresting concept Umbrial... are you sure that is the case.. from the way Soot explains how things work with the Elementals you would be some sort of lapdog doing exactly what your told otherwise risking somesort of wrath of the ELementals.


Yes yes I understand purposely ticking them off is a bad idea.. but I'm not a slave to something, especially when I only know that I can work magic and that it helps me protect. It does not give me details about who I am. It merely helps shape me.

It has come to my ...... it has come to me that Elementals are being worshipped rather than bargained with. Especially the way Soot explains it. I'll not have this.. Elementals are grand and powerful but what right do they have to be worshipped?

Amadeus walks past with a deep bronze glow above his head.
He nods hello and disappears into the shadows.

Squire comes out of one of his dazes

"Thankyou milady, you have been very helpful"

Squire looks at a clock

"Is that the time"

He then dashes off headed towards his orders chapter house

Amadeus walks past and smiles hello. He swiftly makes his way to the exit.

She looks confused at Books statement.
"Let me get this straight, you wonder if I have gotten the idea of working with the elementals wrong?" She looks round at the Great Hall in it's magnificence, and wonders if it is a gilded cage.
"I don't understand what you are saying about ticking them off, could you explain please? I'm not really sure that I am worshipping anything. I wouldn't even know where to start? What does it entail, how is worship different from respect?"
She stands, momentarily deep in thought.
"Oh, Morgrim, your little friend is not to be used, she is a watcher, and your conduit to the water realm. She can tell you things if you ask."

Morgrim gioves a small smile " finally i can contact the elements, thankyou Umbrial , have you any suggestions on where to forward my learning in the magics?

She grins and giggles, covering her mouth and blushing.
"Here is good. I can see about putting you in contact with an elemental who should be able to help you learn some higher level spells."

To Isobel, regarding the ball with an unpleasant gaze.
"It is an amalgam of all the elements: Earth, Air, Fire and Water, and something else binding them, constraining them, something bad, the antithesis of our magics. I don't know where you got this, and I don't know what you plan on using it for but it's nasty nasty stuff."

*Book frowns at Umbrial.. the colour over his head turning Blue with Black flecks*

I'm not suggesting that you have it wrong. What I'm suggesting is what "SOOT" has been saying.

I have come here to speak to you as the head of your order for two reasons. The first is to actually understand what you do .. for some reason I had a compulsion to actually ask you.... and the Second is to Offically ASK for a copy of your books.. So that I can read them and put them in the Library where I work..

Morgrim waits for book to finish speaking " If you could do that for me , i would be most appreciative," Morgrim sits with umbrial and takes in his surroundings.

It was created by the Tcra or so soot thinnks It was being carried by one of there creatures that was guarding the pedisal we had to disable
As to what I want to do with it well I would like to free the elements inside if they are trapped against there will is that something you could help with

*At the mention of Tcra magics Book's head snaps to look at Isobel* that is made from them??? If so ... I would like to investigate it. Much has been learned from what they do...... Somehow they have discovered how to make magic items without binding anything into them... they have bound all the elemnts together.. hmmmm if that IS TRUE for I do not trust Soot's ideas on this then it is more than worriesome.
