Techno Source Poses Star Athlete Match Ups in Coleco Head to Head Survey

NEW YORK, Aug. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- In conjunction with the release of the
21st century line of Coleco® Head to Head™ sports video games, Techno
Source, a leader in electronic toys, games and learning aids, today released
the results of a survey which asked Americans "who would win?" in a variety of
sports star "head to head" match-ups.
According to the survey, eighty percent of Americans feel that Muhammad
Ali is the greatest heavyweight boxer of all time, while only twenty percent
think that a young Mike Tyson (who at just 20 years old conquered the whole
heavyweight division) reigns supreme.
"Sports fans since the dawn of time have been pitting their favorite
athletes against each other asking who would win in a head to head match-up,"
said Eric Levin, EVP of Techno Source. "Our new Coleco line features this
type of one-on-one play, capturing the essence of competition in sports by
pitting gamer against gamer in a battle of dexterity and skill."
Added Paul Earle, president of River West Brands LLC, the company that
licenses Coleco and Coleco Head to Head to Techno Source, "this survey should
shed some definitive light on some of the most heavily debated match-ups. For
instance, it may surprise people to learn that the majority of Americans
surveyed feel that Lebron James, not Kobe Bryant, is the successor to Michael
Jordan in the NBA or that Derek Jeter beat out Alex Rodriguez as the best
shortstop in New York."

Athletes Head to Head:
* In a close decision, 53% of Americans would rather have individual
record king Peyton Manning lead their team then proven Superbowl MVP Tom
Brady.

* Is Shaq or Wilt the best NBA center of all-time? The survey found that
Wilt Chamberlain edged out Shaquille O'Neil by 8%.

* Who is the best homerun hitter of all-time? Sports fans didn't waste
any time deciding as nearly 80% voted for Babe Ruth, leaving a mere 20%
of support going to Barry Bonds.

* When asked who would win in a Head-to-Head soccer match-up, 84% percent
of soccer fans felt Pele would beat current teenage star Freddy Adu.

Commentators Head to Head:
* When asked which ESPN NBA analyst they prefer, 59% chose Greg Anthony
over the opinionated Steven A. Smith.

* Who is the best announcer of all time? Seventy-one percent give the nod
to legendary sportscaster Howard Cossell. Surprisingly, only 29% of
sports fans voted for Marv Albert, a legend in his own right.

Coaches Head to Head:
* In a match-up of the 2005 NBA Finals coaches, 63% of Americans felt
Detroit Pistons Coach Larry Brown (since appointed head coach for the
New York Knicks) would have prepared his team better then San Antonio
Spurs coach Gregg Popovich, who only received 37% of the vote.

The brand new Coleco line features a keychain assortment, as well as one
and two-player handhelds featuring titles such as Head to Head Football,
