After an All-American senior season at Michigan, cornerback Leon Hall is busy getting ready for the NFL draft. He shares his experiences in his NFL.com journal.)

(March 15, 2007) -- Thanks for checking in on me and following my journey so far. Unfortunately, my college career ended on a bad note since we lost the last two games. It was tough to deal with, but there was new chapter of my life to embark on.

Immediately after the Rose Bowl, I went to Mexico with my fiancé. It was our first time in Cabo and we stayed at a 10-star (my rating!) resort, The Esperanza. Unbelievable. We basically just chilled and relaxed by the shore. After a few days of that, it was time to get to work.

I headed straight to Tempe, Ariz., to train at Athletes Performance. My goal was to prepare for the Senior Bowl and Scouting Combine to the best of my ability. API was the greatest benefit to me and my training: great facility, coaches, chefs -- the whole nine. It was a good environment to train in, to be exposed to quality coaching and witness their success. They definitely know the recipe for that. I met a lot of great people who trained with me. There were a couple of other top corners that I trained with (Marcus McCauley and Aaron Ross), and it was great to work with them on a daily basis, simply for the fact that we pushed each other.

he Senior Bowl and Combine were both great platforms for me to showcase my talent. They were good opportunities for coaches and front-office people to get to know me, and vice versa. One of the highlights of the Combine was my chance meeting with Mean Joe Green during my meeting with the Steelers. It was an honor to meet an NFL legend.

Physically, I felt like I did pretty well at the Combine and was comfortable with my performance. The mental testing was exhausting and you aren't told how you did. I'm just glad that part is over.

After the Combine, I went back to API to fine tune a few things -- drills, lifting, agility, maintain my diet, etc. I'm trying to keep my positive habits consistent, and carry them with me for the rest of my career.

Tempe was a great city to be in. A lot of fine dining to experience, from Chinese and Asian Fusion restaurants, steakhouses and a great breakfast spot called The Breakfast Club. On my down time, we mostly played video games. I went golfing a couple of times and saw some a bunch of movies. Daddy's Little Girls is a good one to check out.

At my Pro Day on March 16, I will be doing defensive back drills again. I'm excited to get out there and showcase my skills one more time. I'm also looking forward to seeing my teammates do well and representing the Wolverines!
