In preparation for Sporting News' Draft Preview edition, now on sale, SN asked Arkansas' Jamaal Anderson, second in the Pro Football War Room defensive end rankings, to complete a questionnaire. Here's what Anderson provided.
My breakthrough moment as a college player was: That probably was this year. Against Alabama, I had two sacks. In the next game, vs. Auburn, I was named SEC defensive player of the week.
My opponents would say the best thing I do is: That I have a quick first step and get off the ball quickly.
My friends would describe my personality as: They'd say I'm laid back, that I like to relax. But I also like to have fun.
The biggest challenge about making the transition to the NFL will be: Getting used to looking at football as a business. This is a job now. Everything changes.
The kind of defense I fit best is: I think I'd work best in a 4-3 since that's what I played in college. But I think I can adapt to a team that plays a 3-4 scheme.
My favorite moment as a college player was: Probably my last game, against Wisconsin in the Capital One Bowl. Our defensive line played well as a unit, getting six sacks. Everything clicked for our defensive line in that game.
The NFL player I am most like is: I'd say Julius Peppers and Michael Strahan. I've been told we have similar body types. And those guys have a basketball background like I do.
The NFL player I most want to face: Oh, there's nobody I have a grudge against. I just have to be ready for all of them.
The first thing I'll buy after I sign my first contract is: I'm gonna get my dad a car. Any type he wants. And I'll buy my mother back in Little Rock a house with a big kitchen. She always has wanted a big kitchen to have enough room to cook for me.
