Aug. 16 DeAngelo Hall was administered an MRI exam Sunday on the left hip he injured last preseason — an injury that sidelined him for the first six games of the season, according to the Atlanta
Journal-Constitution. No structural damage was discovered and it was determined he suffered a deep bruise in his upper quadriceps near his hip. He was held out of Monday's practice.
Aug. 16 Brady Smith, who had neck surgery just before training camp to alleviate pain caused by pressure on a nerve, has been cleared to go through contact drills against a blocking sled, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Aug. 16 Roddy White likely will miss this Friday's preseason game after an MRI exam confirmed he sustained a mild high ankle sprain in Saturday's game, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. "It could be anywhere from a few days to a couple weeks," Falcons coach Jim Mora said. "We're pushing him hard and he's pushing himself hard in [rehabilitating] this thing. We all know how important it is for him to get in work."
Aug. 14 Rookie Roddy White suffered a mild high-ankle sprain during Saturday's preseason game, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. More will be known about his condition after he has X-rays taken on Sunday.
Aug. 12 Roddy White is behind in learning the offense after a six-day holdout, so he won't be forced into the Falcons offense soon, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. However, he is being tried out on kick returns. "I'm cool with it," White said. "I've got to try to make some plays however they want me to. Whatever they want me to do, I'll go out there and do it."
Aug. 10 Brandon Mitchell will likely remain out of action for the rest of the week with a back injury, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution.
Aug. 10 Erik Flowers will likely remain out of action for the rest of the week with a back injury, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution.
Aug. 10 Carey Davis is out with a knee injury that could prove to be serious, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution.
Aug. 10 Alge Crumpler, who did not play in Tokyo on Saturday because of a knee injury, was back at practice on Tuesday, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution. "[Crumpler's] knee swelled up a little bit over there," coach Jim Mora said. "That turf was a little bit hard, and with the long flight . . . with he and Justin (Griffith) we just decided not to play them."
