Honey Baked Ham
Ever wondered how they do it? It's a simple task.
Propane Torch Kit (12 bucks or so at any hardware store.)
Whole ham -- cooked
Honey
Brown Sugar (the new granular type works best.)
Spices -- Optional- what ever you normaly use.
Bake the ham as you would normally do using your favorite recipe. Allow ham to fully cool to room temperature. (or chill)
Cover the ham with honey. Sprinkle with brown sugar. Torch it, being careful not to burn but just melt the sugar into the honey.
Allow to dry and repeat the process until desired thickness of the crust is reached. Usually 4 or 5 times.
Wrap and refrigerate until ready to serve.
Now you know.
Enjoy........ and save some money.
