Crock Pot Boiled Peanuts

2 lbs of Peanuts (Green)
1/2 cup Salt
1 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper (optional)


Fill crock pot to top with water
Cook on high for 12 or until tender.

Note: Use "Reynolds Slow Cooker Liners" for quick easy clean up.

This is a new one on me. I may just give this a whirl soon.

I mean I know boiled peanuts, just never heard of a crockpot version before.

Me either. I picked it up from a hunting and fishing MB and the poster swears by the recipe. It was posted when someone asked about crock pot peanut recipes.

Others that have tried it chimed in as well talking about how well it works.

If you try it before I do, post a follow up on how well it works.

btw, the poster stressed on the liner bags. Said that was as important as the peanuts. Must have ruined a crock pot on this one.
