It's about that time

As we approach week nine of the NFL season, things are working themselves out. The best decision Nick Saban ever made was to bolt from Miami. The worst decision Trent Green ever made was to go to Miami. No matter who Atlanta puts under center, it's a lost season for Falcons fans.
Week nine brings us the real Super Bowl: New England at Indianapolis. Though both teams sport swarming defenses, I'd go with the over on this one. If you have either team's defense, you may want to go with your back-up this time around. While Tom Brady versus Peyton Manning will be the viewer's choice, fantasy buffs may want to look into some other match-ups.
Denver at Detroit
This is a big game for both teams. If the Lions win, they can move into first in the NFC North if the Chiefs knock Green Bay off. Though the AFC West is a little shaky this season, this is a must-win for the Broncos if they're even entertaining the notion of postseason play. If you have Jon Kitna, start him this week. Watch for Detroit to go four-wide in an attempt to outscore Denver.
Dallas at Philadelphia
T.O. returns to one of the several teams he's scorned in recent years. If anyone needs a big game, it's Donovan McNabb. Not to mention, the Cowboys lead the NFC East while the Eagles find themselves dwelling in the basement. Dallas can keep a leg up on the New York Giants with a victory, while the Eagles can keep their season alive. Tony Romo's been America's sweetheart since he carried Dallas to the playoffs last year. If you've got him, start him. However, my pick for player of the game is McNabb. Despite the criticism, he's a tough and gritty competitor. Plus, he's playing for his job.
Houston at Oakland
OK, unless you're a super fan or a fantasy dork (i.e. me), this game doesn't mean much to you. Raiders to start: LaMont Jordan and Daunte Culpepper. If Jordan's healthy, he'll tear up the field. Provided Culpepper isn't yanked before kickoff, he's yet another QB playing for his job. JaMarcus Russell suited up in week eight. The Raiders didn't spend the top choice on Russell to let him ride the pine.
Texans to start: Matt Schaub. He's the only consistent performer they have. This is the first season in which he's seen significant time and Schaub's been taking full advantage. Watch for another strong outing from the guy Atlanta should have kept.
