Anthony Allen, who led Louisville in rushing last season, might transfer to Georgia Tech, his father said Monday.

"We're going to wait until May and then make a decision," Amos Allen said, adding that Tech is one of at least four schools they are considering. N.C. State is another.

NCAA rules prohibit Yellow Jackets coach Paul Johnson from talking about potential incoming transfers. Johnson did say, however, that Tech expects a player to transfer into the program before the fall.

Anthony Allen, 6-foot-1, 232 pounds, ran for 696 yards and seven touchdowns as a sophomore. He will have to sit out the 2008 season and have two seasons of eligibility remaining.

"We're going to look at depth charts and how many backs they've got," Amos Allen said. "One of the main factors we're going to look at is how much they're going to run the ball."

Louisville will release Allen to transfer to any school other than Arkansas that is outside the Big East and not on Louisville's schedule, a school spokesman told The Courier-Journal in December. Arkansas is coached by former Louisville and Falcons coach Bobby Petrino, who recruited Allen.
