Arena League: 2008 Arena Football Preview

The 2008 Arena Football season is going to be starting soon. Training camps open next week for all teams. This week I am going to be starting a preview on each team in the AFL.

Tomorrow I'll start with the 2007 Central Division Champs Chicago Rush.

Now for the first Rankings of the 2008 season (Team, Division and 07 record)...

1-Chicago Rush(Central Division, 2007 record 12-4)

2-Philadelphia Soul(Eastern Division, 8-8)

3-Cleveland Gladiators(Eastern Division, Former L.V.Gladiators 2-14, in Western Div.)

4-New Orleans VooDoo(Southern Division, 5-11)

5-San Jose Sabercats(Western Dvision, 13-3, 2007 ArenaBowl Champs)

6-Los Angeles Avengers(Western Division, 9-7)

8-Arizona Rattlers(Western Division, 4-12)

9-Colorado Crush(Central Division, 8-8)

10-Dallas Desperados(Eastern Division, 15-1)

11-Georgia Force(Southern Division, 14-2)

12-Columbus Destroyers(Eastern Division, 7-9)

13-Orlando Predators(Southern Division, 8-8)

14-Tampa Bay Storm(Southern Division, 9-7)

There are two teams no longer in the AFL that were in the league in 2007: Austin Wranglers (went to AF2), who went 4-12, and The Nashville Kats (folded), who went 7-9.

But yeah, I'm suprised the Force are ranked so low, not like it really matters.

I would think our defense alone would have us ranked up there.

If there was ever an example of somebody making dart-board predictions, it's this one. Did he include any rationale in the initial publication about his picks? It's kinda hard to deduce from looking at them.

I would really be curious to find out what has him so in love with New Orleans. I think Steve Bellisari will be pretty good, but other than Lin-J Shell, what scares you about that roster?? Going down their schedule this looks like a 6-10 team.

this maybe the worst Pre season ranking I have seen in the last 6 years. What is this guys connection again?
