Who looked good in practice today?

I would say most of the ususal suspects performed well, while several of the new guys probably punched their tickets out of town.

Crocker had a couple of good hits and decent coverage, but got schooled for a TD. New DB David Philyaw was burnt several times. and newly signed WR Syvelle Newton brought everything but his hands, as he dropped several. Stephen Cason looked good and had a pick and some good coverage. Brandon Register filled in for Hamin Milligan(street clothes) with the first unit of DB's.

Defensive line looked like the machine it should be and EJ was solid at LB, and you may see him elswhere in a jumbo look. LB Matt King looks like he may have lost the grip on the other LB slot as Trentadue was getting plenty of reps. King spent some time at DE. Also, some DB's were slotted at LB at times.

Nowland is a lock at center, but some interesting decisions to be made on the offensive line, as several are performing well, both blocking and receiving. Front runner James Clark was in street clothes with an ankle injury.

Backup QB looks to be a tossup, with Dougherty struggling in drills, but stepping up in scrimmage, while Arth appeared to have the stronger arm.

Look for some fun tweaks and different sets to the offense, as well as different Defensive packages with the rule change.
