Just got the fixin's for breakfast burritos, Bloody Mary's, and coffee for pre-Force game tailgating. Got brats and fixin's and beer (brown ales & imperial stouts) for in-between games tailgating. I'm bringing a Smokey Joe grill too.

Where's the tailgating gonna happen this year, lot A1?

STH parking is supposed to be to the left as you come in....all the way to the front, next to the Chamber of Commerce parking lot, which is where they had it previously and also where Gladiator STH parking is.

I beleive that lot A1 is on the right hand side as you come toward the front of the arena.

I believe that the rest of the Forcefanatics are planning on 10am. So try some bad parking to leave some room for the rest of us. :)

My VIP Parking pass says that the VIP lot is in A1. So I am assuming wherever A1 is, or wherever the STH park, is where the tailgating will happen?

Oh tailgating will happen all over the place however the Fanatics will be in the parking lot Iffy described. Seriously, if you show up at 9 or 10 we're going to be quite easy to identify...we'll be the only ones there!

Alright, cool deal. Mind if I stop by at some point? I'd like to meet some more of the Fanatics that I didn't get the chance to at Fan Day!

Of course it's cool to come on by. Heck it's a party the entire day with the hockey game later that night. I'll be tailgating between the games the rest of the day. Good thing it's a Sunday the next day so I can recover in time for Monday. 7urjj

Just to confirm........I drove through the Arena parking lot( talk about going out of my way :) ) and Lot A1 is on the left and the STH parking will be in the front portion of this lot, adjacent to the pre-game festivities.

If I can get everyone up and on the road early enough, I plan on being there around 9 if not sooner. It's approximately a 2 1/2 to 3 hour drive and I want to be on the road by 5am. I'll have to stop at Kroger across the street from the arena first where they have some delicious breakfast sandwiches and pick up my tailgating supplies that I can't have in the car over night. Plus I have to figure in that there will be kids in the car which usually means frequent restroom stops. I certainly hope that they don't make the same mistake they made for the opening game for the last season they played there when they didn't put out any porta johns. :o

As I recall one of the big things the first time around at the Gwinn was that there weren't any trash cans, but I believe they remedied that. I know they had port-a-johns in the front of the STH tailgating lot.

Along those lines, I may not get to be with all the cool kids this weekend because I misplaced my VIP parking pass, but we may get there early enough that they won't be checking. We'll see. I doubt we'll be there before 10am.

....just don't forget your passport for entry into Gwinnett ;)

Actualy there were a few trash cans that were left there from the Kid Rock concert the night before, but they were limited. We were parked as close to the arena as you could get with the exception of the handicapped lot and I remember we weren't the only ones complaining about not seeing a restroom. They did unlock the doors to the ticket office which had restrooms in it due to the lack of portable ones. There were plenty of them from the second game on throughout the rest of the season though.

I can't seem to find my VIP pass either, but hopefully they will do like they did before and just let you show your season tickets. The year I became a STH, I didn't get my tickets until the day before the first game, which I picked up at the trailer behind the arena. They were out of parking passes at that time and TJ told me to just show my tickets to the attendant and they would let me in the STH lot. As I recall, they never even checked me, but as soon as I got my pass in the mail, I made sure to keep it on my rear view mirror. If I can't find my pass before Saturday and can't park in the lot, I will just have to have my fun in the other lot.

Rib-eye's are good. (Med rare or so) NY Strips work too.

Yup, like I always said, it's 5 o'clock somewhere.

But you weren't around here last fall when I literally fell out on a jobsite and those EMT folks told me .................. It would scare the hell out of ya.

I think it scared them even more when I refused to get in that meat wagon.

But long story short, I crawled into my Dr's office the next morning. And after a whole bunch of needles, test, machines, etc, etc, my DR (for over 25 years) had a little heart to heart with me and simply put, it was either make a few lifestyle changes, enjoy life WITHOUT brews or make a few arrangements and save the family the grief.:unsure:

I'm still alive. And sweet tea isn't bad. :)

I will be there early, also. I am not, however, a VIP, so I guess I won't be parking with you guys. I will walk over from wherever I end up. I arranged a group outing for my company for the doubleheader and we will have our tailgate between games. No one from my company will be there as early as I will. I would love to pitch in something or some cash to imbibe with those bloody mary's and breakfast burritos!

I also have 2 extra tickets to both games if anyone is interested.

Here is the game plan for the President of the Booster club today. Meet at 10 am and have some type of breakfast items not on a grill. Then after the game, either go to Koger and get hot food or bring out the grill and make our own.
