I didn't get to watch the entire game, started on the radio, then saw last few minutes of 1st quarter and most of the 2nd while having lunch, then I saw the final 8 1/2 minutes of the 4th quarter.
What I saw was an offense that struggled and we may have a problem losing both Jackson and Lee. Carl dropped two passes that should have been scores! Granted, Greisen was off, but when a receiver has the ball in his hands, those are catches that should be made. No excuses. Pull it in and take that hit. He looked like he was scared to catch the damn ball.
Holmes isn't a return man, but he did have a couple of huge scores in the 4th. The second effort and run paid off on the last TD.
Troy appears as if he has lost a little speed at times. The knee injury last year may have a lingering effect.
Turnovers didn't help either. Two fumbles and an Int. wtf??
The defense had to many blown coverages that left Dallas receivers wide open and Dolezel picked them apart. We lead the league last year with 31 4th down stops and we couldn't stop anything today.
Over all, I saw a team that WAS NOT PREPARED to play.
Whether that was Planks fault or the fact that camp began two weeks later than the rest of the league is unknown, but the Force were not ready today.

End Zone issue --> I was sitting in 118 and couldnt see the fan interference. Did someone actually touch it? That would have been a game changing play!
The turn over on the very first drive was a KILLER!! h6534y We're driving down the field to score and give it up - they then go down and score.
#22 only had 1 TD. And we were shut out in the 3rd - cant do that in AFL and expect to win.
Good stuff:

Yes, the fan absolutely touched the ball. Actually he handled it by batting it back down onto the top the wall where Holmes? picked it up. I had the best view in the house. The problem was the ref didn't call it dead right then and there. You can't go back on something like that they way they did. By the rules, the way they called it during the play, it was a touchdown for us. That was seven of the ten points.

Actaully if you think about just that play it was seven points of the 10 yes, but it would have also been seven points off their 10. Because they would not have scored on the next play.
TV showed the Back judge waving his hands as an incomplete pass but he did not blow it dead at that point.

I was in the 300 level right above where it happened. I saw a fan hit it toward him and he picked it up for a great run. But I was surprised the ref didn't call it dead right then and there. Ref's fault.

Both Greisen and Morris were disappointing. I was hoping ot see something more of a running/TE game, but when you can't convert third downs, it's hard to manufacture opportunities to see that.
Hold judgment on Holmes as a return man. We saw in the passing game that he can see the broken field, has great second effort, and breakaway speed. Bergeron didn't have any more success than Holmes did against very good downfield kick coverage from Dallas. Give him a little more time.
Yes, the secondary did have breakdowns, but it was as much in personnel as in coverage. As Plank mentioned, Milligan was missing to start with, then Willie was laid out and fought his body to get back in the game, which says a lot about him. Other than that you're dealing with a guy in Newton who was called up off the practice squad, Cason, who is also a rookie, and Fred Coleman, who was picked up late in camp and really is a WR, pressed into action.
All those excuses withstanding, the team had no field position on kick returns, the offense couldn't convert for first-downs consistently, playing the game the Dallas defense dictated, and put no points on the board in the 3rd quarter.
We didn't lose this game because of the defense.

Many many factors go into this loss it wasn't all the defense fault we didn't look good in alot of areas so we must get better overall.I thought Holmes had a good game overall. But its hard to catch passes on the ground and over your head we need alot of work we just got to get better each week and hope by the playoffs we have it all together.
