FORCE MAKE ROSTER MOVES AS THEY
PREPARE FOR THE TAMPA BAY STORM

The Georgia Force today signed seven-year AFL veteran WR Willis Marshall and signed DB Jacoby Shepherd from the practice squad to the active roster. The team also waived WR Brent Holmes and placed DB David Crocker on injured reserve.

Marshall, 5-9, 194 pounds, attended training camp with the Force this year, but was released prior to the start of the season. He is a seven-year AFL veteran who has spent time with Dallas, Colorado and Grand Rapids throughout his career. In 2007, Marshall played for the Dallas Desperados and posted 66 receptions for 747 yards with 12 touchdowns in 16 games. He has tallied 521 catches for 5,800 yards and 83 touchdowns over the course of his career.

Shepherd, 6-1, 220 pounds, was signed to Georgia’s practice squad on March 3, 2008 after spending the 2007 season with the Utah Blaze and the Dallas Desperados. Last year, he collared 44.5 tackles and two passes defensed in seven games for Utah. In his two seasons in the AFL, he has recorded 55 tackles, three passes defensed, one interception and one forced fumble.

Holmes, 5-11, 175 pounds, hauled in eight receptions for 153 yards with three touchdowns vs. Dallas in Week 1.

Crocker, 5-11, 205 pounds, registered a game-high 11 tackles and one interception vs. Dallas before leaving the game due to injury (back). He was named ADT Defensive Player of the Game for his performance.

I saw this posted as a link on the AFL message board (the title was addressed to 21Kunkel...who the f is that?)

Anyho...I read the article about our new receiver and...sould like we have a real law abiding, "father of the year" type on this team now. Hope he's good...

I'm still a little concerned. He couldn't beat out Holmes or Morris in traniing camp so I'm worried about his production capability. Hopefully Morris can step it up to help take the pressure off Willis and Troy.

Only if he found away to be able to hold on to the ball. He has not shown us the ability to catch the ball. Maybe stop trying to run until you have the ball stowed away.

Let's just buy him a can of stick'em. Better yet a case, use a can on each hand. Like that Coach did in the Replacements.
