Title: Here's how we make the playoffs...
Description: on the road to 8-8
forcefan27 - March 28, 2008 09:28 PM (GMT)
Ok...our record is 1-3. Here is how I see this thing shaking out...
@Utah - W (2-3)
Kansas City - W (3-3)
BYE
Orlando Predators - W (4-3)
Arizona Rattlers - W (5-3)
New Orleans VooDoo - W (6-3)
Philadelphia Soul - L (6-4)
@New York - W (7-4)
@New Orleans - L (7-5)
Tampa Bay Storm - W (8-5)
Columbus Destroyers - W (9-5)
Chicago Rush - L (9-6)
San Jose Sabercats - L (9-7)
Even if they go 8-8, the Force will get into the playoffs. As we know, especially after the past few years, anything can (and will) happen in the AFL playoffs.
Doc_2957 - March 28, 2008 10:56 PM (GMT)
I don't see that happening.
Gr8Force - March 29, 2008 01:29 AM (GMT)
Your math doesn't add up. You gave us a W against NY yet you added a loss in the L column. ???
So to recap:
@Utah - W (2-3)
Kansas City - W (3-3)
BYE
Orlando Predators - W (4-3)
Arizona Rattlers - W (5-3)
New Orleans VooDoo - W (6-3) I doubt this one is a W.
Philadelphia Soul - L (6-4)
@New York - W (6-5) Wouldn't this make us 7-4?
@New Orleans - L (6-6) 7-5
Tampa Bay Storm - W (7-6) 8-5
Columbus Destroyers - W (8-6) 9-5
Chicago Rush - L (8-7) 9-6
San Jose Sabercats - L (8-8) 9-7
In the NO game you give us a W and I have serious issues with that W. It'll have to be one of those "I'll beleive it when I see it." games. If we have a single L leading up to that game then there's no way it's a W for us. Same for the Tampa game. Worst case scenario we're 7-9. Hey, didn't the Destroyers get in with that record last year? With that in mind you're absolutley correct. Anything can happen in the AFL playoffs. Still, it's going to be hard to hold our heads up with a losing record. The first in four years (2004 at 7-9). So the swing is two games. 9-7 I can live with but to get there would make a great story. Now to win out would be a turn around that I can only dream of.

Wow...this is a weird feeling... as I have been told (today in fact) that I know it all. You are correct, I did make that mistake. I edited the post.
I know thinking we will go 9-7 may seem crazy, but I really do think we'll go at least 8-8 and make the playoffs. Call me a homer, but hey...whatcha gonna do?
Thanks for seeing the error. Time to go reboot the brain and relearn simple addition!
Gr8Force - March 29, 2008 02:18 AM (GMT)
Ah you're good. I was just making sure the math was right so we don't chew on an oversight.

Hell yeah Force Fan I'm feeling it. Just gonna make the remaing games all the more intresting and intense. I see us killing Utah tonight (if the secondary stands up) and playing a overall better standerd of football as the year goes on. Do I think we'll make the playoffs? I sure as hell hope so . Its hard to maintane a team that both has the attendence we do and not make the playoffs. Falcons have a bad year they get a draft to rebiuld. Force have a bad year......we get the shaft. Luckily we got a commited owner so I think were good for at least the next year but you don't won't to start a slide thats leads us to a mediorce team and the Force out of Georgia.
Makes every win just that more important. and I know its premature but tonights Blaze gsme could be the most crucial in Force history. When else have we needed a win so badly?
Lets go Force.

Bite your tougue, if the Falcons have not gone under after all he years of what they produce -- The Force is not going anywhere!!
I understand where you are coming from but for Forcefanatic's that is a subject that we don't to there.
Not saying your wrong but we don't go there!

Thats fine (but turning a blind eye won't help) but you have to admidt that tonights game is HUGE for the Force. I've already got us winning becuase I can't even begin to bear the thought of us losing tonight. And it won't be easy, they are just as deperate cause they go to 0-5 with a loss. But we are a much better team so if we come out fireing on all cylinders we should get a solid victory.

Hi ya'll.
Brand new to Arena Football. I watched a few Force games last year. It's pretty cool. Different. And takes a little getting used to. (I still don't know how many guys line up on either side. What is it, 9 instead of 11?) Anyway, I ended up watching the Predators vs. Rush this past weekend, and that was an awesome game! Especially the end. I think I saw on the schedule where they play the Force again. May not be a win this time, they seem to be getting some momentum under them.
Anyway, where do I find TV schedules for the Force? I'm thinking this may be an inexpensive fun thing to do with my family. But they may want to watch some first to check it out. Thanks!

We pinned a Season schedule and a TV schedule in this forum.
Check out Arena Football League (.com) and sign up for AFL Net. Make up a name and find an address in Hawaii or somewhere that doesn't have a team in the area so you don't get blacked out on local stuff.
http://www.arenafootball.com/It's free, but they do have premium accounts as well.. But there's a variety of weekly games broadcast live, then they have a lot archived afterwards for viewing too.
Be forewarned though..........If you ever attend a game live, your addicted for life.
And the Force schedule is posted on the MB calendar too. Almost forgot that. Check the bottom screen or click the calendar link in the top right corner and it'll show who they play.

Don't forget
GeorgiaForce.com !!!
Cool! Another one has come over to the dark side. Well, first time at the game and you'll be bitten.
