Title: A feisty bunch!
Description: per Danny White

"But they are still a feisty bunch," White said. "That's kind of the way [Georgia coach Doug] Plank coaches. He wants guys that are chippy and are talkers and play with that kind of a nasty attitude. . . . We are going to caution our guys not to try to retaliate, because it is always the guy who retaliates that gets caught.

Well, at least that will be one break for us this week.

"Attempting to overcome the worst start in franchise history, the 0-4 Blaze made another deal on Thursday, acquiring veteran defensive back Eddie Canonico from the Los Angeles Avengers for future considerations."

Chris had a field day against Eddie when LA was in town. I also can't believe that Orlando got rid of Mason -- the Orlando fans must want Jay's head again like they did the last time Mason left.

Stop N Go's will get Doster and Mason all the time so think long not short this week.

And with Groce learning the terminology I'd imagine the first thing he can handle is "go long." ;)

Looked like Chris had another great game against Eddie.

I asked that question to one of our inside guys. Hopefully we'll find out something today.

Something just doesn't seem right does it...........

I'm not going to say it aloud but the Force Front Office has already done some pretty wierd things already this season.

They're holding him out b/c Blank wants him to be fresh for Falcons training camp...you, know, to help those pitiful WR they have.

I wish. :)

He has not played since he got a deep thigh bruise. So maybe it is still bugging him or because we were playing a bad team we did not need him.

Doc_2957 - April 1, 2008 04:15 AM (GMT)
Word is he was still recovering from the flu bug and as Pearli mentioned, the thigh bruise was nagging him as well.

Playing Utah, they felt it was better to let him sit out.

He should play Friday night according to my sources.

Problem is, we now have 5 WR's to fill 4 roster spots. So who's the odd man out this week??

We just got Groce so he'll probally stay. Both Carl Morris AND Tyger have held thier own. Going to be a tough decsion.

HitemHarder - April 2, 2008 03:03 AM (GMT)
It seems crazy, but if Bergeron's healthy I'd think Tiger Jones winds up being inactive this week. You really want to get Groce in and acclimated in games as soon as possible, but perhaps if Troy is still not quite 100% they sit him again to keep Jones in and get Groce in the game. Still, now you've still got 4 receivers, so does Carl Morris just go in when you get inside the 15 as a redzone receiver?

pearlizumi1 - April 2, 2008 03:13 AM (GMT)
I could see them putting Carl at Jack LB with his long arms, a Burks wantabe.

HitemHarder - April 2, 2008 12:54 PM (GMT)
They want a bonafide DB at Jack, though. Otherwise Eric Johnson would have been at that spot all year. I think they really like Cam Newton in that role, and I've been pretty happy with him myself.
