Title: That garlic shit I was talking about

Flight58 - April 1, 2008 08:59 PM (GMT)
1 cup shedded mozzerella
1/4 cup of mayo
1-2 cloves of pressed garlic (I make her put in 3 or 4 cloves, I'd try for 5 but I don't think she'd eat it)

Combine ingredients and smash with a glass (or mashed potatoe smasher) into a paste. Smear on warm french bread.

I never really eat mayo but with that much garlic and cheese, I'm willing to try. Thanks for posting the recipe.

Substitute Butter, plain cream cheese, or even olive oil for the mayo...it'll actually taste better. The garlic spread is a variation of aoli or allioli :) ;)

No sweat...just know that what Flight posted is a variation of it...it's not the exact same thing. I'm sure the mayo adds a new flavor to the mix...just not sure it's a flavor worth adding...

And aoli works on with just about any bread, but I've found that the more flavor a bread has naturally, the better the aoli will taste with it...sourdough, Rye, italian, 7 grain, etc...french bread is good, but it's never been that big on flavor to me.... 8DRTV75
