I like it too, BT. :) We'll get to see some really good teams this year!

BlackTalon - April 15, 2008 10:45 PM (GMT)
What`s not to like?
13 1:00 PM games, only 3 teams they face made the playoffs in 07, they open against a team that`s not known for road wins, no real games to be played in bad weather.
Plus, as Iowa pointed out.
The can`t get embarrassed in prime time. :)

Steve_Bartkowski - April 15, 2008 11:25 PM (GMT)
If the teams are as good as they were last year, we get to play a lot of weak teams :)

The only problem is, they get to play us... :(

thats true, but i tell you what, with a new regime in town i think the players themselves are gonna be playing at an exciting level they never have played at.

Plus were a very young team as well, and with the draft coming up were only gonna get younger, and i love it.

Fine, I hope everyone of those teams look at their schedule and chalk up a W for the week they play the Falcons.
Who do they really play that`s to be oh so scared of?
The Chargers on the road in week 13 is about it, the rest of them can be beaten by a reasonably decent team playing sound fundamental fooball.

Ray70 - April 16, 2008 12:49 AM (GMT)
7-9 to 10-6 at the best :)

This is a rebuilding year. I gotta be realistic...

Do you realize every year in the NFCS (so far) the team that has finished last has won the division the next season?

Ya but I just don't think we will be there yet... We are tearing the roster apart and replacing it with a lot of draft picks.

Ton80kid - April 16, 2008 02:06 AM (GMT)
The schedule is about the best we could expect and hope for...we were a weak team last year, and as a result, we get a somewhat "soft" schedule. Hopefully we'll be an improved team this season...unfortunately, you have to acknowledge that teams like KC, Chicago, Philly, and St. Louis, all can be much improved this upcoming season too...

All in all, with this team and this schedule, and all of the changes that we're going to have to adjust to, I'd be happy with a signs of vast improvement, regardless of how many wins we have... g6wvuymh87

What would you consider 'improvement' that did not reflect in terms of wins and loses?

Consistency or just getting better with the young players every week?

Remember how bad we looked last season?? That's what I don't want to see this season. To try and say that improvement is measured simply in wins, is too naive...I've seen horrible teams win games, and great teams lose 'em. Consistency is very important. Seeing the offensive line actually protect our QB and open holes in the running game, is very important. Seeing them do it more weeks than not, is a sure sign of improvement...Seeing our DLine actually get to the QB is great. Actually seeing them do it more weeks than not, is a sure sign of improvement. Being able to successfully defend the pass and stop the run in games this year would be great...to do it more games than not, would be a HUGE sign of improvement... :)

As I said before, I will be happy with 5-6 wins and the o-line coming out unscathed. Don't look for any miracles this year.

:stupid:

Ya I'd be happy with 5 or 6 wins and our young players showing serious promise! I'd also like to see improvements on the O-line.

Woohoo! You beat me to it, boss. I was going to say put up your predictions in here. I'll do mine when I get to the office. This board needs more FB posting going on, so thanks for contributing. Kinda early to do predicting, before the draft & training camp, but it's fun to speculate anyway. I'll probably do another one after the preseason games.
