I looked at PS3 a while back and thought about getting one. We haven't played the Xbox a lot lately, though, so I'll probably hold off for now. The only thing I've really played recently is Rainbow Six (think that's the name - husband bought it) and (alcohol-fueled) Rock Band.

I'm thinking about about getting me one as a graduation present. Would even consider a Wii except I'm not into flinging my arms about.
I'm even considering a LCD tv that I'll rationalize it as being my computer monitor and it will go nicely with my new TV tuner card.
I always wanted an Xbox but I don't see anything good coming out and last time I paid attention they had a crashing problem.

We haven't had the crashing problem, but I probably just cursed myself. We haven't bought blu-ray yet, but I really like that about the PS3.

360, ps3 can't compete w/ the 360's online capability and oline gaming is the new era of gaming.
what i will say is that yes the ps3 does have blu ray, but, gaming companies do not have the technology that the ps3 offers cause it cost way to much money. Thats why your seeing games like GTA4, Devil May Cry 4 and now Resident Evil 5 are all on the 360 and ps3. Yes, their on the ps3, but they are freezing A LOT!
So, go ahead and spend 500 bucks on a system that has extreme potential w/ few companies that can't afford their technology, or spend 250 and play the same games w/ the same graphics and gameplay on a better online system and no freezing. Get a 360.

I'd have to go with a PS3 simply because I could still play my 50+ ps2 games on it. That and my son already has a 360.

ps3 is not backwards compatible anymore, the new ones there making right now don't have that capability, yet another reason why the ps3 will lose the battle.

Yes they do, but you have to get the pricier ones. The lower level ps3 won't tho.

i'd have to agree w/ you on that one, god of war 1 and 2 are awesome. Dont' get me wrong, sooner or later i will buy a ps3, i'm just happy w/ what the 360 has given me. Gears of War 2 and Resident Evil 5 are the games i'm most looking forward too.
