Title: Hillary 51.6%, Obama 47.8%, according to exit poll
Description: Whoa!!
Ramen - April 23, 2008 12:05 AM (GMT)
That's the final exit poll results, which have been pretty accurate so far this year. God I hope that holds up tonight, because that is a HUGE win for Obama.

Still won't be enough for the Hildabeast to fold up tent and call it a campaign.

If it stays that close then there's a chance Obama ties or even wins the delegate count, which would be the KO. Otherwise, I think you're right that this goes to Indiana/North Carolina. She'll get crushed in NC and I think now Obama has a fairly good chance of winning Indiana.
Game over if that happens.

Does PA split deigates or award them all to the winner? Why is is a big win even if he loses?

Democrats allocate proportionally, and also by congressional district. So it's theoretically possible for Obama to tie the delegate count or even get more.

I am SUPER disguisted with CNN tonight . . . It sounds like Hillary Central over there.
I wonder why?
http://www.nytimes.com/2008/04/01/arts/01a...r=1&oref=sloginJESUS CHRIST!!! 90% increase in ratings?
No incentive there, huh?

I was listening to Sean Hannity on the way home today (waits for THUMP of liberals passing out after smacking themselves in the forehead with their palms nr6 ).
Anyway, while I typically listen to Sean for the sheer entertainment value of listening to him try to straddle the Hillobamacain fence, today he actually made a good point.
He was talking to Britt Hume about Hillary's anger at the media. According to Hume, Hillary is mad because the media is essentially handing the nomination to Obama. NOT saying that I agree with that, mind you -- I'm just telling you what they say Hillary supposedly thinks. Sean then made an interesting remark. He said "now Hillary is learning what it feels like to be on the other side of a media darling. Now she knows how conservatives feel."
It's funny to me for this reason: you are complaining about CNN favoring Hillary. Hillary thinks the media is favoring Obama. Sean thinks the media favors liberals.
When all along, the media (while admittedly left-leaning) merely favors ratings. They will stir a pot of shit just to see if a turd floats up. Because turds sell. We get the government we deserve. And we deserve Jerry Springer politics, because that is apparently what we prefer (according to the fact that it sells in the media).

Actually, CNN changed their tone right about . . . TEXAS!!!!
While I was on here posting that Obama would win the Texas delegate count (and this was on the primary night) CNN was on the media bandwagon talking about the huge landslide for Clinton.
While I was talking about the Republicans gaming the election, their polling "expert" looked at the reletive even split among the "Republicans" in Texas and said it disproved that theory . . . Totally ignoring the fact that 1) The "Republican percentage was twice as much as it had been in any other primary and 2) Obama had been winning the Republican vote by more than 2:1.
I'm not that bright, he ain't that dumb.
YES! That's my point: It IS all about ratings. That's why CNN has gone to a Clinton bias.

I posted elsewhere that the preelection polls tended to underestimate the winner by 4-5%, and the polls showed Hillary leading with 4-5%. The result would probably be a 9-12% Hillary win tonight.

I still haven't decided who I'm voting for. But I will tell you this. Even if she wins the dem candidacy, it will not be Hillary. Thank you. That is all.

I started out thinking that I would vote for Clinton and now because of how she's acting and campagning, I want to and will probably want Obama to win. He's seemed to want to stay on issues and only in frustration has he stooped as low as Clinton.

Some Facts about the Race which are being conveniently ignored:
1) Prior to Penn., Hillary needed 57.5% of the remaining delegates to catch Obama.
2) As of 11:22 am, 4/23/08, Hillary needs 58.9% of the remaining delegates to catch Obama. (Her "big win" in Penn put her further behind)
3) She did NOT win Penn. by double digits. She is up 9.4% with 2% of precincts unreported in Obama's two best counties.
4) Penn. was Obama's BEST performance in a "Rust Belt" state. (In the rust belt, the bigots are union and vote Democratic, in the south, they vote Republican)

That's not the point. Hillary cannot win the nomination by delegates. She's looking to go into overtime (ie...superdelegates).

Hillary wins by less than double digits. 9.2% with .5% still not reported in Philly area.
Official State ResultsNet gain on delegates... 8-9 delegates for Clinton.
A few weeks ago she was leading in the polls by almost 25%, which have been running a few percentage under what the actual was for the leader in recent polls.
This is a win in my opinion for Barack Obama, he was not known in PA and in a few weeks he took 10% plus from Hillary even with the so called "bitter gate".
I believe Obama will win in NC by a larger margin than Clinton did in PA, and will win by a few percentage points in Indiana. At this point superdelegates will come out for Obama and put him over the magic number and he will secure the nomination.

So what we're saying is that despite the millions of votes cast through dozens of states, the Democratic Party elite, not the voters, will be the ones deciding the nominee?
What was the point of voting?
