i remember back in middle school or earlier in the lunch room there was a big traffic light in the corner. as long as it was green, talk all you want. if it went to yellow, quite down some, and if it went to red you better not even chew loud.

Ha...we had that too. Not so effective. More people were running red lights than...um...

We had something even bretter than that. We had a lunch lady we nicknamed Sasquatch. She was easily the tallest person in the whole school. Our pricipal was tall and she was taller than him.
She was easilt 6'8", but I wouldn't doubt if she was 7 foot.
She even whisperd "hush" we hushed right the fuck up.

Kids are not allowed to talk in the lunchroom, in the hallways or out of turn in the classroom these days. How the hell are they supposed to learn social skills if they can't be social? It really is ridiculous.

Must have been "Silent Lunch" a punishment given by teachers when the kids talk in class - which is just as stupid. You punish them for talking in class by taking away the only time they can talk...what do you think they are doing in class after lunch...talking. I have a lot of friends that are teachers and I highly respect them for the job they do but they can really come up with some doosies.
