Title: Braves Thread!

We need more Braves threads!

So, you remember that time...um, when we were in the NL Championship game, and, um, Sid Bream was, like, on second. And then Cabrera hit a single to left and noodly arm Bonds couldn't get Bream out at the plate. That was awesome.

Here's to the Braves CRUSHING the Mets this weekend. (And Chipper winning that second MVP).

Ha ha!

Hadn't thought about that in years. RIP Chris... one of his best characters. That guy, and the "livin' in a van down by the river" guy were 2 of my faves.

Good luck to the Bravos this weekend. Not been following them as much this year. When are they playing? I'm mostly going to be watching the draft. How's the relief pitching this year, has it gotten any better? I know they were struggling in the first coupla games I watched this year.

Starting pitching has been excellent, relief is hit or miss, and the offense is getting more consistent. When Tex starts to heat up as always, this will be a very dangerous team. And IF Chipper plays at least 150 games, he will win the MVP. It will come down to him, Utley and Pujols.

Great article on Yunel Escobar and Branyan Pena in SI this week.

I was in Atlanta over the weekend for the wife's college reunion and had a chance to take in the saturday and sunday games vs. the Dodgers. This team could easily win the division if the pitching ever gets healthy.

Pitching needs to get healthy...our RP need to establish their roles more definitively. We don't need any of this "he's a closer tonight, and so & so is the closer tomorrow"...we tried that few years ago, and it was a freakin' nightmare. The Bullpen is established in reverse. You figure out your closer, and then everyone else falls into place.

Other than that, we just need to get all of our bats on the same page at the same time... 8DRTV75

I've got to get down to some games this year.

Jurjens puttin' some lotion on those pitches. Bobby argues balls/strikes. I thought for sure they were gonna send him to the locker room. (or did they?) That's f'd up. This umpire's strike zone is "roaming" at best. Bobby don't need to go out in the 3rd, but Jurgens shold have been out of this inning instead of walking in a run.

I hate to see ANY pitcher pitching as well as this guy is and not getting the calls. I just tuned in, so not sure how he was doing before middle of the 3rd, but the pitches Bobby were arguing were freakin' strikes.

ooooooo, they did eject Bobby! Booooooo! I'm going to miss that about him though. He is always IN his players' corner, damn the cost! In this case, it's hard not to blame him. That plate ump is horrible!!

If your gonna go, go in stlye. Bobby's making a HOF record of ejections. I think I love that guy, he kept Jerrgens from being ejected.
