Title: What`s your Beer

I like Sweetwater 420 EPA.

It`s local and goot! ^&%1'

JDaveG - April 29, 2008 02:28 AM (GMT)
I have some 420 in my fridge now.

I USUALLY drink Amstel Light, because I don't need "full beer" calories. Love Dogfishead Raisin D'Etre, and Samuel Smith's Oatmeal Stout. I like Blue Moon but it's become college cliche, and I'm just too old for that shit.

Yeah, it`s hard to put down whole a pack of 420`s.

Like Amstel lite but it`s pricey.
Day in and day out MGD..cheap, good and readily available.

MGD is the only "cheap" beer I can stomach, and it's not bad at all.

Not 420, but it's good for the American rice wine variety of lager.

I like the pricey good beers but I like beer so much.
Best find one cheap like MGD that I can stomach and afford.

I like Sam Adams Lager also..it`s goot.

Blue Moon and an orange slice. And I don't give a rats ass about a college cliche.

I also like Sweetwater Hummer.

And I sometimes drink Corona & Bud Light, but not so much anymore.

Not a big fan of heavy darker beers.

Try the Samuel Smith Oatmeal Stout. It's not bitter and hoppy like a lot of stouts. It's kind of sweet. Good good beer.

Newcastle Brown Ale might be one he would like from across the pond?

Me like beer from the UK.

I have just recently discovered Yuenling - can't pronounce especially after I've had a few - and I probably can't spell it but I like drinking it.

Oh and you guys know that the girl does not come with the beer - of course if you drink enough then you might think whatever girl you are with looks that way.

Sam Smith makes some fine drink - there's a few pubs in England that have a lot of them on tap. One near where I used to live in Leeds...mmm :)

I prefer ales rather than beers - but as lager goes, I like Cobra/Tiger/Kingfisher - Indian beers (apart from Tiger which is from Singapore). They go very nicely with a hot curry. :D

A cold open beer usually suffices...but for the sake of this thread, I like Sweetwater's Sweet GA Brown and their 420. SGB was actually brewed by the old Dixie Brewery decades ago, until they went bust. Then when Sweetwater arrived, they bought up the recipe and began brewing it. They also make a winterfest style beer that's outstanding. Just to prove that I don't hate ALL things about Athens GA, I love the Terrapin Brewery...they've got a couple of great beers including Big Hoppy Monster, All American Imperial Pilsner, and their Golden Ale. Outside of these 2 very specific microbreweries, I have no qualms about drinking just about anything else...except for maybe Coors light... b667ur

Anyone ever heard of Peckerhead beer? (i'm being serious) I think they were a microbrewery in Douglasville. It's been years, but when they were off of Fairburn road, I had a draft there that was pretty tasty. Just wondering if anyone knows of them or has an opinion.

Bud Light or Heineken...

I know people at Terrapin, John and his wife bring free samples by the case when they visit. :)

I always tell them I love it, but I'm really not a huge fan :( But it really isn't a lie, because I do love FREE beer!

All those snobby beers at the beginning of that list, and you close w/PBR and Nat Light? Or is that what you turn too once you're already wasted on the good stuff? nr6

I'm an equal opportunity drunk. There's only a few beers I don't like.

:stupid:

I'll drink light beers, dark beers, stouts, hefeweizens (wheat beers), whatever...

Just hand me a beer and I'll drink it. (Unless it is really nasty...) In fact there has only been 1 beer I have turned down the last few years. It was a really sour one that tasted like rotten oranges. Forgot what it was called...

I can pretty much stomach any kind of beer, which comes in handy if your low on cash.
But, just to name a few in order of preference:

Grolsh in the 16oz bottles with the cork top or out of the keg
Moosehead
Beck's
Heineken
Stella Artois
Just about anything the Atlanta Brewing Company makes

Blue moon comes with a slice of orange. People who drink beer with fruit in it are at a higher risk of acquiring HIV/AIDS.

True story.
