brother is an MP over in Afghanistan. He was out in the field today on April 21st. He decided to give us a call, just to let us know how he was doing.
Nobody was home so he got the answering machine, and hung up. Just then, they started getting shot at. Somehow, his phone re-dialed, and we got this on our answering machine. He is okay.

We need more troops in Afganistan, that is where the battle against Al Quaeda should be, not Iraq.

And Pakistan. We knew Osama went into Pakistan, but Bush was focused on going into Iraq.

They are in the process of working out 7-10,000 more US troops being sent to the 'Stan and possibly taking control of the multinational forces there.

Na, I wanted to be a fighter jock but my eyes sucked. Lasik was about 10 years too late.

Speaking of Airborne Rangers, those guys are the real deal.
There is a Ranger Camp close to the town that I live in...Dahlonega.
It`s the 10th mountain division and I see them all the time.
In fact, there is a drop zone right up the road from where I live.
When I hear the rumbling drone of the C-130`s or the Chinook`s.
I know the boys are on maneuvers throwing shit out and jumping after it.
Me likes watching them jump and land.
When you see a double column of 20 Airborne Rangers running in cadence down a mountian country road.
You can`t help but give a wave and salute, those boys are some badass boys along with the best of the best.
Trust me, they have pride in who and what they are.
