Title: Finneran?
UK - May 27, 2008 03:03 PM (GMT)
What's the latest on Brian Finneran? Will he play for us again?
Ton80kid - May 27, 2008 03:33 PM (GMT)
To be honest...I'd be surprised if he plays for ANYONE this season...that was his 2nd knee injury in as many years. I seriously doubt that he'll be back... 8DRTV75

Well, he's out there for now, but Douglas could well take his job. Finn would be a guy I'd just hate to lose, but if his knee still sucks, well then I guess there would be no choice.

I`m pretty sure they are keeping Douglas, White and Robinson.
Finneran is a ?
Jennings is a ?
Stinkins is ?
Horn is a ?
2 of the players 4 with ? assigned won`t be on the final roster IMO.

Well, Horn is probably a given to be gone. Finn is going to depend on his knee, I think. The others,..eh..Jennings may yet have potential.

I would not complain about keepin Finn (given healthy) with Jennings along with White, Robinson and Douglas.
What used to be a team weakness is developing into a team strenth.

Am I wrong your talking about Jenkins, the receiver? a ?
And you think Jennings the PR /receiver. a ?
Jenkins proved to be a decent reciever and Jennings proved to be a wuss in my eye.

We'll keep Jenkins for at least this season. He'll be a solid option as either a possession guy or a 3rd down WR. Hell, he might still be out Robinson for the No 2 job. Horn could still be useful, but not at his present salary. Jennings may or may not make the roster. Finn is a goner. 8DRTV75

| Jenkins proved to be a decent reciever. |
When did this happen, I missed it?!?
IMO he has proved to be a bust.
I guess, if you can excuse him never gaining any seperation, no yards after any of his few catches and balls bouncing off his hands going for pic 6?
You could say he is decent because he blocks and plays special teams.
Not because he is any threat as a WR.
I expect and demand more from our WR`s especially for a chump taken in the 1st round with him going into his 5th year.
The bust lable is stuck all over his ass and he better have a hell of a camp if he expects to make the team and I have my doubts he will.
We can get that kind of production from a 7th rounder or FA.
In case, you have not noticed, the Falcons WR corps is looking up and intends to improve dramatically with White, Robinson and Douglas alone.
Stinkings is more of a problem than a solution.
If you want to talk about going with the proven guys to go along with the 3 young guys on the top of the list ?
You keep Finn and Horn.
RobSalvador - May 28, 2008 02:48 PM (GMT)
Problem with that is 4th and 5th WR guys need to do special teams.

With the seperaration issue it's a matter of technic and after 5 years in the pros you should have it. So I agree with you here.
YAC some of it is seperation, some of it is location of the Qb's throw.
"Balls bouncing off his hands", Every game I saw the throw was way behind him or six foot over his head. Can you catch those on the run? If Ryan is as good as everyone thinks he is Jenkins will outshine.
I never really cared for Horn, and Finn well that's the pick 6.
