1 teaspoon dried thyme or
1 tablespoon chopped fresh thyme
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper

1. In a small bowl, combine paprika, garlic powder, thyme, salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper and oil to make a paste.
2. Pat fish dry with paper towels.

4. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 2 hours.
5. Preheat bbq to medium high and grease grill.
6. BBQ halibut, turning once, until cooked through, about 3 to 5 minutes per side (Alternately, cook fish in a nonstick frypan over medium high heat).
7. Cooking time may vary depending on thickness of fish.
8. Remove fish to a serving plate and serve with lemon wedges.
9. This rub works equally well with salmon, sea bass or tuna.
