Packers will pick fifth in 2006 NFL draft
GREEN BAY - The Packers' win over Seattle on Sunday dropped them to the fifth pick for the 2006 NFL draft.
The Packers (4-12) finished in a five-way tie for third place, behind Houston (2-14) and New Orleans (3-13).
For draft order, all ties are broken by opponents' winning percentage, with the team whose opponents had the lowest winning percentage getting the highest pick, and so on.
Among the five teams at 4-12, the Packers had the third-hardest schedule.
The Tennessee Titans will pick third, followed by the New York Jets and the Packers.
The last time they picked that high was in 1992, when former general manager Ron Wolf drafted cornerback Terrell Buckley at No. 5.
