Wolfpack DE Williams to hold news conference Tuesday
RALEIGH, N.C. North Carolina State defensive end Mario Williams is holding a news conference tomorrow, and there's a chance he'll announce he's leaving school for the N-F-L draft.
His news conference is scheduled for 11:30 at the Murphy Center at Carter-Finley Stadium.
Williams hinted at leaving last weekend, after N-C State defeated South Florida 14-nothing in the Meineke Car Care Bowl.
The six-foot-seven, 290-pound junior broke the Wolfpack career sacks record on Saturday when he had two against South Florida. He now has 26 for his career and helped N-C State close the season with a three-game winning streak.
Williams also holds the school record for tackles for losses, adding four more to that total on Saturday to bring it to 55 and a half. This season, he had a school-record 13 sacks, tops in the Atlantic Coast Conference, and 23 and a half tackles for a loss.
