Dismissed Virgina Tech start to enter NFL draft
RICHMOND, Va. Marcus Vick has decided to enter the N-F-L draft, one day after the starting quarterback was dismissed from the Virginia Tech football team.
The junior made the announcement in a three-paragraph statement released by his lawyers. Vick says he believes he's ready for the challenge of turning pro.
Vick's mother told The Associated Press earlier today he would sit down with her and his brother, Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick, to discuss his future today.
Vick's dismissal from the Hokies came after he stomped on the leg of Louisville All-American defensive end Elvis Dumervil during the Gator Bowl on Monday.
It was the latest in a string of on-and-off-field misconduct by Vick, which included a string of legal problems. He sat out the 2004 season after a conviction for serving alcohol to underage girls in 2003.
Hmm..
Seems a bit early. I don't think he'll be drafted too highly.
Could be wrong though.
Let him go to an AFC team so he can drag them into the gutter.
He's a thug on and off the field.
