Title: My only child is 22 today

shay - August 24, 2005 02:00 PM (GMT)
I am a little sad because he is all grown up and gone. I used to bake his birthday cakes myself and has so much fun decorating them. One year as a teenager, I got him a football cake, with a guy in a recliner and a big screen with football on it. One of my favorite pics is one on his first birthday cramming a whole piece of cake in his mouth. Where did all the years go?

Oh

Probably me then. I've been rather sloth-like in my movements lately,..maybe I'm starting to mold or mildew or something.

I'll think really hard about doing some push-ups and sit-ups and jogging,..and when I'm worn out from all that thinking about excersize I'll go take a shower and see if that helps. 898,,

Mine turned 10 in July - last night we were grocery shopping and I noticed some Disney Princess pop tarts - I was excited and thought she would be too. She just cut me one of those "that's so lame, Mom" looks and then her cell phone rang.

Happy Birthday to your son Shay! He seems like a really great young man (from the one time I met him last year).

At least the pride you have in him will never age.

Rachel picked up the plate her little birthday cake was on and put the entire plate over her own face on her 1st birthday. In the pictures you can see her hands on the side of the plate and then nothing but plate where her face and head are supposed to be....now she's about to turn 8 on October 10th.../b6

and well, we almost killed poor Noah with his 1st birthday cake...who knew he was anaphylatic to milk and butter...(we quickly learned)
