Really, my ring finger collapses - I can't put pressure on it without it collapsing.
My daughter is doing great! She has long, strong fingers and a quick mind. she is really picking it up.
when first starting to play the guitar it's natural to find it hard to form chords with your fingers because the strings dig into the skin and it hurts, but the best way to work around that to begin with is to play chords that only require you to use two fingers :)

are just a few. the number indicates which fret to play and on which string.
being able to put pressure on your ring finger on the fretboard will come with practice though. in the meantime, impress your friends with some of these lovely chords!
