Jacksonville, FL -- Michael Vick contributed 74 total yards of offense and threw a touchdown pass, as Atlanta defeated Jacksonville, 23-7, in a preseason game played in a driving rainstorm at Alltel Stadium.
Vick ended 5-of-10 for 44 yards in the air while rushing for 30 before coming out late in the second quarter.
Matt Schaub spelled the All-Pro and finished 8-of-14 for 34 yards with a touchdown and an interception for the Falcons, who have won three of four preseason games.
Michael Jenkins was the recipient of both touchdown passes as he caught four balls for 35 yards while Todd Peterson booted three field goals in the win.
Byron Leftwich had a strong game for the Jaguars as he completed 11-of-20 passes for 179 yards. David Garrard added 108 yards passing off the bench for Jacksonville, which lost for the first time in three preseason contests.
LaBrandon Toefield scored the only TD for the Jags as he scampered in from four yards out early in the second quarter.
Fred Taylor, who was held out of the first two preseason games following his recovery from knee surgery, carried the ball four times for 18 yards in the setback.
Jenkins scored on an 18-yard touchdown reception nearly nine minutes into the first to put the Falcons up 7-0. Jacksonville, though, eventually pulled within 10-7 before Atlanta scored the final 13 points, which included Jenkins' four-yard score from Schaub.
