I was hoping Bibla would be the first cut, I'm kind suprised Gowin
was cut. I don't remember seeing Koenen that much. He has
obviously impressed the staff and should come really cheap.

Yup,..undrafted rookie from,..uh,..Washington st. I think. He won't be costing us many beans. Games maybe tho...

He has to be better than Gowin tho, he's never impressed me.

I am not surprized ., Koenen played very well .... as for Morton , I think we will keep 5 CBs , we have hall , web , mathis and rossum and judging from training camp Buhl will win the 5th spot

Koenen was much better than Gowin. UDFA from Western Washington did some good things out there B)

NfN, but Peterson looks just fine, though one kick in JAX was very low-trajectory.

I really don't forsee any startling cuts unless Mora feels he absolutely needs to make a point w/ Price, but I just don't see that happening after Magner's game in JAX. Finn, Dez, Jenk and Roddy are in and Roddy's injury and the cap hit just make this too unlikely, IMO.

I think, and this is a wild guess, that Bibla was released early to help him out. Lehr/Moore Forney/Herndon have the G position locked up, so ATL needs a G much more than a tackle. As clearly evidenced on Thurs, Bibla will not be playing tackle any time soon. By releasing him now, he's got a better chance to hook on w/ a team short of guards.

Now, if that team were to release a decent backup tackle, karma would be perfect.

In a related Q, do you see Bev and King being cut? Bev's versatility to play as a lineman and kIng being the 2nd center play to keeping them, but hopefully there's backup G that can play C and someone that can block and catch to allow Bev's shoulder to be released to the wild. A bad shoulder is not good for a blocking te.
