HOLIDAY MOANS!
Sex film shot at family hotel
By Stephen White
A FAMILY on a sunshine break were shocked to find a porn film being shot in the hotel room next door.
Damien Bennett went to investigate after his 11-year-old daughter Sian heard grunting and screaming from the adjacent room in the "family friendly" hotel - and could see the sex scene from his window. Now Mr Bennett, who was staying with his wife Heather and four children, wants First Choice to refund £2,800 they paid for the break in Bulgaria.
He said: "This has upset my family, especially my wife.
The warehouse manager added: "Sian is very naive. She heard screaming, shouting and grunting and thought the people inside the room were fighting.
"She came running to me and I went up to see what was happening. I looked out of our bedroom window and into the room next door. They were shooting a porn video."
He said holiday reps had told him that a film crew was at the hotel -described as "family friendly" in the brochure. He, Heather, Sian, Chloe, 14, Liam, eight, and five-year-old Kara had enjoyed a lovely half term vacation at the Royal Park Hotel in Elenite until the day they were due to check out.
They had all been using a room to shower and get ready before their flight home when the film crew showed up. Mr Bennett, from Hull, said: "Even the holiday rep was gobsmacked.
"I could not believe the hotel firm did not warn guests that a porn film was being shot.
"We are demanding every penny back. No family should go through what we have."
A spokeswoman for First Choice Holidays yesterday apologised to the Bennetts.
Emma Waddel, of First Choice Holidays, said: "I am aware the Bennetts were upset by this incident.
"We felt the behaviour of the film crew was inappropriate.
"We contacted the hotel and they confirmed they did have a film crew on site. I have been told that they will never film again at this hotel."
