Fanum Minervae is proud to sponsor the first Pugna Sapientia. Through this we seek to honor Minerva through the immortal pursuit of understanding. We invite the wise and the just to take part in this rewarding occasion. Let he who is wise and just sit as a judge. Let he who thinks himself the wisest seek to prove it. Let anyone else watch and learn from this spectacle.

Here’s how it will work:

A priest of Minerva will present a mystery. The contestants must give him their answer, silently so as not to influence the others, inside of a minute. At the end of 75 seconds, the priest will repeat aloud all of the answers. When he is finished, the judges will comment and score them on a scale of 1-10, whole numbers.

The contestants will then compose a defense of their answer against the others, and silently present them to the priest within 75 seconds. These will be judged just as their original answers were.
