Title: Speculations
Description: Your thoughts about the future!!!
VanIntegral - July 2, 2006 06:03 PM (GMT)
Simply put, post and discuss what you think lies ahead for Simon and Geoff. Try and back up your thoughts with evidence from the comic, but if you can't do this just try and make your idea sensible.
So, to start off: I think that as their quest for blood progresses Simon and Geoff may come into contact with a new character. If you note on Malcolm's list the last sample he needs is virgin blood, so maybe this will open up the possibility of meeting someone new.
On the flip side: The second to last sample Malcolm needs is Warrior blood, and as that may apply to Simon it could be said that Geoff may be the virgin.
Go ahead and post your own thoughts, then we'll just have to wait and see if you were right or not!

If I keep updating as often as I have, you might not have to wait that long. This is a rather amusing topic, speculation. I have a great deal of the story (as in what's going to happen months or years later in the comic) in mind, so I should know right away whether your theories have any merit or not. Not like I'd say anything, though. Ruins the surprise.
So, hypothesize away. See if you can unravel the Gordian knot that is my consciousness.

There will be more squirrels. This much is certain.

Malcolm isn't a real savager. There are no hovering caterpillars. duh.

Wow, nice to have a webcomic with that much planning involved. I've followed a few that were pretty 'flying off the seat of their pants' in that department. Not sure if that last sentence made any sense but it did to me *Maybe it's a Canadian thing*
New hypothesis: Maybe Malcolm will get our two buddies wrapped up in the Blood Merchant lifestyle, or maybe he'll just sell them to a few choice monsters for a good source of nourishment *Shrugs*

Yeah that's a bit of a given, but a given we'll look forward too.

Ooh, I hope not, Malcolm's my favorite character. Besides I think Scarred_Priest likes him too much to have him killed off, even if it would result in an awesome fight scene.
DJ Polaris - July 5, 2006 05:17 PM (GMT)
Maybe he will have a huge fight and we will think he is dead but he will come back in the future and be like "you almost killed me..." or "you thought I was dead but..."

Maybe, even still, it'd be sad to see Malcolm go away for a little while. He's my muffin <3 But now I have to wonder, what is he up too while Simon and Geoff are getting blood for him? Maybe he's lounging with the ladies or something
DJ Polaris - July 5, 2006 11:48 PM (GMT)
maybe he got killed and then Simon's gonna try and find him again and he won't be able too cuz he's dead. that would suck... Poor Simon.

Malcolm's currently surveying sites for a new blood bank. They plan to open 5 more branches in the next three years. During this time, he meets a sweet vampire and they move in together for three months. However, things don't work out, since he needs to move for business, but she's dead from a wooden stake in the heart.

Well atleast his business is booming, and chances are that vampire was after him just for his blood.
Another prediction: Hopefully we'll be able to see what Simon and Geoff were like before they met each other/their first encounters with each other. It be nice to see their relationship elaborated on more in the future.
That and look forward to what may be the next summer blockbuster:
THE RETURN OF RENARD!!
(Ba ba BAAAA!)

And wow, I'm pretty sure I would have read this before, but hell my memory is about as useful as a canteen with a hole in it. This is what Scarred_Priest wrote as a storyline for Flunkies:
| QUOTE |
| Long ago, in a time of great darkness, a hero stepped forth to oppose a great evil. After an epic battle, the warrior of justice succeeded in rescuing his beloved and destroying his vile nemesis and his stronghold. Okay, enough of that crap; now, we can get on with our story. Simon and Geoff (pronounced "Jeff"), were working as guards in Baron Vordoth's fortress (Baron Vordoth was the "bad guy" as if you couldn't tell). The pay was fairly decent, but the hours were great and the dental plan was as good as a henchman could possibly get. Everything was going fine until the boss decided to swipe a princess from a neighboring kingdom. It only took four days for her sword swinging glandular boyfriend to show up. As we open our story, the fortress is leveled, the Baron's lying in charred pieces on the floor, and our two favorite lackeys wake up to find themselves out of work, in a lot of pain (both physical and emotional), and wearing identical, stupid looking outfits. The question now: What's next? |
Wow, now I really wish we get a peak into times before the comic actually starts. That seems like a pretty cool storyline to build up on. It'd be neat to see how Simon and Geoff would fit into that little scenario. Baron Vordoth's character page references this story a bit.
*Whilst searchin through the comics for any added info for the background thing with Baron Vordoth* Hey, here's something. In the comic for February 20th, 2005 it almost seems that Simon could be hiding something under the bandages/arm wraps. Daddy issues perhaps? It's certainly not Mommy issues, he has quite the healthy relationship with women...Still, Simon may have a trouble past (Which led to scarring) that could be revealed later on in the comic.
And didn't this just turn out to be the longest post yet made here eh? Bloody...
(Checks front page: Wow, with this comes the 100th post for the forums! Woo!)

It certainly does my heart good to know that the little things I sneak into the comic from time to time haven't gone unnoticed. My only sadness is the time it will take for your questions to be answered. Of course, I could give you an answer about all of that stuff right now, but that would more or less ruin the whole story. My comic is going to progress as other comics do. One page at a time. The only real difference is I'm not making up most of this as I go along, it was decided long in advance.

Dammit, I'm not a patient person, T_T It'll be hard to wait so long but chances are it'll be worth it. And I love when people add in random things to their comic/movie/whatever, it's fun to try and find references to things in different mediums *Like seeing when the Phantom of the Opera shows up in episodes of the Simpsons*

i hope the next one shows a grott.
