Acheron had been roaming around the city of Creta every now and then; for a month or two now, occasionally visiting area's in order to learn more about the world that she lived in.. or to find some souveineers for her mistress, Madame Drosselmeyer.

She still had yet to be trained into a proper Homunculous as she currently sat on a park bench, eating an ice-cream that she had managed to 'aquire' from an ice-cream stall just minutes earlier.

And the fact of not being a proper Homunculous..or at least, not behaving like one was starting to bother her a little.
' Sometimes I begin to wonder if I'm actually doing anything to help Madame.. I wouldn't want to be useless to her in anyway'

Gluttony looked around the park with dull eye and vague interest in what was going on. He wasn't sure what he was doing there; he just was. Wandering seemed to be his latest hobby, and he had fallen a little out of touch with all other forms of life, with occasional encounter here and there. He was sad and lonely, and he didn't know what to do about it. He could look for Ahava, but she probably didn't want him around, now that she was a human. She had always been so kind to him, but he didn't want to ruin her new life. He was glad that she was happy now, and wanted to ensure that she stayed happy.

He wandered through the park aimlessly and sighed. He saw a little girl sitting on a nearby park bench, but he didn't go over near her. Instead, he sat down on his own bench. The wooden seat groaned under his weight and suddenly collapsed. He moaned and looked around, wondering if anyone had seen it. He brought himself to his knees with some difficulty and made a feeble effort at piecing the splintered pieces of wood back together. He could hear the harsh laughter of a ten-year-old boy nearby. The kid was pointing at 'that stupid fat guy,' and laughing his head off. Gluttony moaned again and looked up at the sky, feeling very sorry for himself.

Acheron had just been in a thoughtful daze, when all of a sudden she was brought out of her thoughts by the harsh sounding laughter of an older boy.

Glancing over to where it was coming from, she saw a boy of around ten, laughing at a rather large rounded man who was sitting on a bench.

At that point, the little girl gasped at first...but soon began to frown, but it was at the other child, not the round man.
' That's not a very nice thing to do to someone..that poor man can't help the way he looks' she thought to herself as she slowly began to get up off of the bench and toddled over to where the boy and Gluttony were.

" He-hey you!" she called out, stuttering a little bit.
" Don't tease him, it's not very nice!" sure those words didn't sound like much.. but what else could a four year old say to someone who was being mean.

Gluttony looked up as a little girl approached him and his bully. She told the boy in a wavering voice that laughing at Gluttony wasn't very nice. The boy just stared at the little girl and shrugged, walking off. He was obviously bored with the whole thing quickly. Gluttony was still on the ground, scratching his head and trying to figure out how to fix the chair. He looked up at the little girl and moaned softly.

He stared at her for a few minutes with a seemingly blank expression. Finally, he spoke sadly. "I broke it." He looked down at the bench and set the pieces down in despair. "I always break things."

Acheron looked to Gluttony with a mournful expression as she watched him try to fix the bench back together again, she already felt for him.

" Hey it's alright.." she said softly as she knelt down and patted his arm softly.
" It's not your fault.. some things are just very fragile, that's all..I mean..I've broken some things before too"

Gluttony looked at the girl, and then down at the bench. "I used to be useful. Lust always told me I could do things, and she told me I was useful. Now she's gone, and I don't have anyone," he said in a voice that sounded sort of raspy and whiny, as though he was about to cry.

He looked over at the little girl and studied her again. "What'd you break? You're too small to break things."

Acheron seemed to do a look of realisation when Gluttony had talked about Lust.
' Lust?... that sounds like one of the seven sins that Madame Drosselmeyer told me about.. but don't they work for Madame Dante?'

However, she shrugged off the differences between the two different Mistresses and looked up to Gluttony, tapping her chin thoughtfully as she thought of the things she had broke.
" Well.. I accidently bumped into a vase back at the castle a while ago, although I couldn't bare to tell Madame.. and then there was another time I screamed so loud in the street because I was scared, I ended up breaking some people's windows!"

Gluttony tipped his head to the side and considered her words for a moment. Two words stuck out to him the most: Castle and Madame. "You life in a castle?" He asked, blinking. He only thought other homunculi lived in places like castles. He wondered if this little girl was a homunculus, too. He wasn't going to ask, though. He had had to eat people who found out what he was before, and he didn't want to eat this little girl. For one, he wasn't hungry. Two, the girl seemed nice enough, and he really didn't enjoy eating nice people too much, unless he absolutely had to.

Acheron nodded and smiled sweetly.
" Uh-huh! it's a really big castle known as Castle de Nocturne.." she eagerly pointed over into the distance.

" Although we don't exactly live there now.. but I've been told about it..and if things ever turn out okay, maybe we'll be able to go back there!" she then looked to Gluttony and rubbed the back of her head slightly.

" I live with Madame Drosselmeyer and her husband, Master Faustus..there's also Lethe who's supposed to be teaching me how to act properly.. but I haven't seen her around for a while..and there is the madame and master's baby son.. but he's too small to play with.." she then sighed in despair.

" As much as I love living over there, it's no fun when there's no one to play with"

Gluttony slowly figured out that this little girl was another homunculus like himself. He felt sorry for her, knowing exactly how she felt. He was lonely and bored, too. He suddenly grinned and her and giggled excitedly. "Hey, I'll play with you! I'm bored, too. Lust left me, and I'm sad. I can be your friend!" He grinned in that child-like manner her had, and waited for her response, hoping she would say yes. Maybe he wouldn't be lonely anymore with this new little friend! Besides, something told him he wasn't comfortable with Lethe teaching her anything. Something in the pit of his stomach told him it was bad.

At that point, the violet eyes of the little Homunculous lit up with joy and Acheron nodded eagerly, she'd never had a friend before.. so this would be an enjoyable experience for her.

" Of course I'd love to play and be friends with you!" she then giggled and bounded happily around Gluttony.
" What shall we play first?"

Gluttony looked around thoughtfully, screwing his face into a funny looking expression. Finally, he seemed to come to his decision, and nodded. "Let's play hide 'n' seek!" He cried gleefully. Oh, this would be fun! He hadn't played a good game of hide-and-go-seek in forever! He looked down at his new little friend and grinned. "Who's it first?"

Acheron looked thoughtful before grinning and tapping Gluttony gently on the hand.
" You can go first and I'll hide.. but don't worry, since it's the first go, I'll make it so that you can find me easily"

She then giggled playfully.
" Remember to close your eyes and count to ten though!" she called out in a playful sing-song voice.

Gluttony nodded and grinned, rushing off to find a tree with which he would count again. He leaned against it and cupped his hands over his eyes. For a minute, he couldn't remember which number started the counting, but then he remember. "One! Uh... two! Three!" This went on until he got to ten, and then looked around to find his little friend, excitedly grinning with those bright little eyes of his.

When Gluttony had been counting, Acheron had gone to find a hiding place; searching for one as quickly as possible before Gluttony had counted up to ten.

Eventually she found a nearby oak tree and hid behind it, giggling quietly as she did so.

Gluttony giggled to himself as he started rushing around the park, looking for Acheron. This was his favorite game, and sometimes he got to play it while he was looking for someone Dante didn't like. He usually ended up eating the person when he found them, though. Still, this would be fun anyway. Several people gave him strange looks when he passed them, and quickly ushered their children away. Soon, Gluttony and his playmate had the perk to themselves, which suited him fine. Finally he heard a bit of giggling behind a tree and ran over, giggling himself.

"Found you!" He exclaimed happily as he jumped out of the shadows in front of Acheron. He grinned happily and waited for her to say what would happen next. He had always been good at seeking, but hiding was another matter. It was difficult to fit his bulk behind anything large enough for him.

Acheron grinned when she saw that Gluttony had found her and put on a mock little pout.
" Mawww, how'd ya find me?" she asked, although she then chuckled and gave a little shrug.

" Ahh well, you found me anyway.. now it's my turn to start counting, ready? set? go!"

Gluttony giggled wildly and started running, looking for a place to hide. After frantically searching, he finally decided on the perfect hiding place, in his mind. Stifling his wild, excited giggling, he 'hid' himself behind a very skinny tree. He was very easy to spot, considering the tree only hid a small portion of his back. He giggled softly, thinking that he had brilliantly found the perfect spot.

Acheron had closed her eyes and started to count, in her mind she wondered where Gluttony would hide.. but then again, this was what made part of the game fun..the other part was actually looking for the person hiding.

" One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine.. ten!" with that, the little Homunculous opened her eyes and looked around.
" Ready or not Gluttony, here I come!" she called out and started to look for him.

It was then that she had noticed that her friend was hiding behind a skinny tree..and she could see him quite easily.
However Acheron grinned a little and decided that she would wait a few minutes before going up to him and saying 'found you!'

As the game continued, a pair of silvery and analytical eyes that had once belonged to a truly remarkable genius gazed the scene unfurling before her. There she was, centuries later, and still the same on the outside. Inside, however, the girl she'd once been had died so very long ago. 'Acheron...this isn't the time for fun and games, my little darling. I need you to do something else, something far more important than this ridiculous horseplay,' Drosselmeyer thought to herself as she got up from her faded lawn chair and made her way over there, flip flops and all. "Acheron! I need you to come home now. Tell Gluttony goodbye."

Acheron froze as she heard her master's voice and spun around to look over to her.

Now.. being a Homunculous so young, she didn't want to disobey Madame Drosselmeyer at all.. but at the same time; she didn't want to leave her new found friend Gluttony behind either.

However, she didn't want him to end up getting hurt..she may not of had a full understanding of the relationship between Dante's Sins and Drosselmeyer's Regrets, but she knew the basic facts that it wasn't a good one.

" Okay Madame Drosselmeyer.." The child homunculous called back and then walked up to Gluttony, doing a half-hearted smile as she tapped him on the arm gently.

" I've found you Gluttony.. but.. but I have to go now" she said, sounding quite sad, however she dropped her voice down to a whisper.
" But we can play another day if you want.."

Acheron then did a gentle little smile up at him to show that she really had accepted him as a friend, before turning on her heels and running up to Drosselmeyer.
" I'm ready to go home now Madame"
