Has anyone ever been to show at the Brokerage? Or heard about one? I'm going, but not VIP (that was sold out), and I'm trying to find out what to expect.

Aww Val - I hate the VIP is sold out for you. :( I had a friend that recently went to the Brokerage. She said it was ok but I will find out more from her and let you know. She needs to get in here and post... Glad you can go see Greg! :) You will have to post recaps and pics. You know us - we have to know details.lol

The impression I got was that only VIP people could take pics. Which isn't such a big deal for me.

A few friends of mine and myself will be going VIP at the Brokerage next weekend.

The Brokerage is a small comedy club, holds about 225 people. We love going there because it's so cozy, the stage is close to the audience, although the lighting is not the best for pictures unless your close to the stage. The house lights are brought down and there is a spotlight on stage for the show.

I have a few pictures at my Webshots account from the Brokerage when I saw Rick and Tamara there last year.

hmm, no reports back from yesterday's event yet? I've got a friend who is at today's event but even though she just called me from there, she won't share details until later. :( But I can't really blame her, she's part of the mgmt team at GHH and needs to do her report for them first. And since she's promised me some pictures, I'll go along with whatever she says. lol

Hi Scouter. Yeah I haven't heard anything from yesterday yet either. BG is going to the one today and said she would report in after she leaves there. I think her words were actually "I will call you from the road." Works for me!

I got a call from Blondiegrrl a while ago. She was calling from the parking lot getting ready to leave after the show today.

The show was good. It was a nice intimate venue. Not too crowded. She said "It was the best strip club I have ever been to." lol.

Greg came in looking adorable in a long sleeved khaki tshirt which he removed for pictures outside. He had a tank under it. (darn) Rick looked good too but she couldn't even tell me what he had on. She was so focused on Greg. :giggle: who can blame her. lol Rick did have on his cute little glasses that he sometimes wears. Greg was scruffy and unshaven and downed several cups of coffee. The guys were in Manhattan hanging out with Kamar de los Reyes last night. Rick talked about how good the food was at the bars, Greg said he wanted to hang out by the food carts all night.

Someone asked Greg what his favorite future story line would be, and he said he now says that he finally sees he HAS a future on the show and that is exciting to him. Since he was on the bench for 2 years, to now be working makes him very happy. He really likes the current story line about the money issues because it is realistic and honest. Rick praised Greg's work and talked about how incredibly focused Greg has been on doing the job and what a great job he has been doing.

There were questions about Lucky and Liz, Cameron, Rexis, and Lucky being shot. Someone asked Greg why Lucky wasn't able to catch Helena when she kept running away. He said that the woman has some kind of super powers or something, she runs with a drink in her hand. Even Luke couldn't catch her. Rick was asked if Cameron would know Ric as his dad since his name is on the birth certificate. Rick said Cams was happy with Lucky and he thought the writers had forgotten about that (the birth certificate.) Greg says Cams looks like him. Rick said he looked like Coltin Scott (ex-Nik) and then said he looked like Sonny.

Apparently there are some really good scenes coming up with Greg, Becky and ingo. Rick was asked how many times he had been shot. He could not remember but then Greg was teasing him about being shot in the stomach and being fine and up walking around. Lucky gets shot in the stomach and goes into a coma!

The Texas/OSU game. This story was pretty funny so I am not gonna post all that BG said on this one... (I am seriously trying to save some stuff for her to tell! lol) but she said that Tylers brother came out in a Texas Long horns hat when they came to pick them up. Tyler was NOT happy about it. "Are you f'ing kidding me!" His brother wouldn't take it off. heehee Apparently ABC got them the seats. 30 yard line, 4th row. The seats were selling for $2k a pop. Tyler was not in a mood to party after the game. He was pretty bummed.

Greg signed several pictures that will be sold for TGP. (Usually only supposed to have one thing signed at these events, but Greg told the club staff to chill out cause it was for his charity.) BG gave him a box from Patti (the Greg fan and member here from Brazil) and had a pic taken of him with the box.

there was a lot more that she told me about the show, but I am trying to give you guys something but still leave some stories for her to tell! lol. She will have pics up some time after she gets home. But she said it was fun and will tell you all more later!

Something that I can tell you from last night's event that ISN'T spoilerish - Greg IS going to SSW in Orlando in November.

Sounds like BG had a great time...Man with Greg and Rick in the same room..sheesh :wacko: I would have to say that I would probably be focusing on Greg too if he had that on.lol I was on my way home from my sister's when B called and filled me in on BG's recap. I love the story about Tyler and Greg and the football game..too funny. Wish we could find out what Greg made Tyler do since hs team lost??? :chin: Way to go Greg on telling the staff to :chillpill: out. Sometimes the staff at places like that just urk me. I know they are doing their job but sheesh... I'm glad Greg said something to them. :)

Hey guys....I know I said I would recap for you but I read the other one and that one was really good!!!

I dont have pics yet cause I am waiting for my friend to E mail them to me cause my camera decided no to work :(

I do have to tell you though that my friend who i went with her mom is friends with the owner and when we got there he forgot we were comming and at the last minute greg and ric aske dif they could bring 8 more people so it was very tight at the brokerage!!! So he felt really bad so he took us behind the curtain where greg and ric were sitting counting out the pics they were selling!!! OMG SO HOT!!! He explained how he forgot about us to the guys and how he felt really bad and the guys were like listen can you do us a favor and sell our pics for us and then you can be our guests hang out back here with us while the comedians are on and after the show anything you guys want!!! We were like SURE!!!! They totally were awesome!! They wanted to know our names and made sure they remembered them!!!!

After everyone walked out we went into the room and greg came right up to us and Thanke us and asked if we wanted anything signed or pics or drinks??We had a drink with them and talked a while...Greg gave us hugs and really thanked us for helping out as did ric!! Greg and I took a picture together and then he rubbed my back>>>LOL>>>>but of course my camera is stupid :(

So then I went to take a pic with Ric and I called Greg over and told them I wanted a sandwich...they squeezed in real tight and put there heads on mine!!!

After thanking us a hundred more times and taking care of everything for us it was time for them to leave !!!

It was an awesome night!!! We said we would sell tickets for anyone now!!!
It definatley made me love greg and ric both even more cause they were so appreciative of what we did...not like it was that hard....we watched the show from the back adn we sold pics of them and looked at there pics all night!!!

Here's my recap of the NY Brokerage show:

They were both very adorable.
Rick talks, A LOT. He's obviously very into his character, his story, and the whole acting process. He doesn't find Ric very rootable right now. He expects the brother relationship with Sonny to continue to grow, and deepen, but doesn't think they'll ever be buddy-buddy, lovey-dovey ("thats Lucky and Nikolas" Greg chimed in).

Greg talked a bit about some of the frustrations he's had with the current story (like Lucky not asking Nikolas for money), but he's just glad to have the story and is trying to do the best with it he can. He mentioned a possible love scene coming up. Someone asked if it was with Liz, and he said of course it was with Liz, there's no one else.

Rick and Greg are obviously close and have coffee together every morning. Greg considers Rick a big brother, and coach. They are very complimentary towards one another. They also spent a lot of time ribbing each other.

Greg was invited to SSW and is going, Rick wasn't invited.

Questions came up about Courtney being pregnant and a possible Lulu recast, but Greg claimed ignorance. Rick claimed ignorance on how Reese will exit.

Both men commented on how much they like Robin Christopher and think she's the most underused woman on the show.

Greg really did belt Tyler in the face with the elbow. You can see him grabbing Tyler's arm to keep him from falling, but they edited it. Apparently he really nailed him.

Rick told the story of Greg walking into the door at Kellys. Everyone thought it was hysterical...except Greg. At first, Rick thought he did it on purpose. Rick mentioned that JJY does that stuff all the time.

Greg reluctantly showed off the tatoo, but just my hunch? I think it made him a bit uncomfortable. Just my impression, but I think maybe Greg gets a little tired of the references to his looks. This is just purely my hunch.

The ridiculousness of Jesse being Lucky's superior was brought up. Greg says he and Matt are trying to put some humor in it to have it play better.

They were both charming, funny, and very gorgeous.

The Brokerage was packed hot and noisy.

I am not sure I have heard the story of Greg walking into the door at Kellys. Have I? :confused: Someone clue me in there.

Well my day started out at 4:30am, and I was on the road to Delaware by 7am to meet up with friends who were traveling with me to Long Island. We had decided to meet some others at Applebee's for lunch and then we'd "camp out" on the sidewalk in front of the Brokerage till the doors opened at 5pm.

Because we had originally reserved for 9 and now had 12, we were seated at another table then originally planned. The table wasn't the greatest for picture taking but it was the first table that Greg came to during the VIP, so that made it all better. :)

A friend of mine had some gifts to give to Greg and I couldn't wait to see his reaction to them. At GHFCW, three friends of mine wore Greg tee shirts to his event and Greg loved the shirts so much he asked if he could have one. I told him I would get a shirt made for him and give it to him in NY. I had a shirt made for him and each of the girls signed the shirt. We had also taken pictures of the girls in the shirts at Greg's event, and we put an 8x10 in a frame after the girls signed the picture to Greg. When Ally gave him the shirt and picture, his reaction was priceless! He LOVED it!

Friends of mine and myself had taken a set tour in July during GHFCW and Marie had taken a picture of Greg pouring a cup of coffee in Rick's dressing room, and she made 8x10s and sent it to a few of us. When he came around to me, I of course got one of those infamous Greg hugs to die for and asked him to sign the picture Marie had sent me. There were 12 of us at the table, at least 6 of us had the 8x10 of him pouring the coffee into a cup. LOL! He signed mine "Here's a cup of coffee for you, Darlin'!" :wub: Iwa had sent two packages of KONA coffee for Rick and Greg and I told him it was from Iwa when I gave him one of the packages. He held it up to show Rick what he had gotten. Rick made a comment about he and Greg loving their coffee and that right now they were out and Rick was "stealing" from the green room. LOL!! So they were appreciative of the coffee from Iwa. He asked me where I got it and I told him it was direct from Hawaii that Iwa sent it. So Iwa - Rick and Greg say thank you!!!!

We waited pretty long for Rick, Greg was finished with the entire room before Rick even got to our section. LOL! Rick started on the opposite side of the table from me and he was talking with my friend Ally and asked again who to sign the picture to and she got a brain freeze. LOL! It took her a second to think of her name, but she got it right. LOL! When Rick got to me, I stood up from my chair and he goes "And you are? I forget." LOL!! I told him to "Shut up." LMAO!! He laughed and gave me a hug and kiss and asked how I was doing. I had taken some great butt shots of Rick .... and Greg .... at Greg's event in July and I had made an 8x10 of Rick's butt to get signed. And Rick knows that this is something that I do, so he had a good laugh about what he was signing. LOL! He looked down at the picture and said "What is ..... oh never mind." LOL!! And it was a picture of Rick's backside with a microphone in his back pocket. He signed it "Is that a microphone in your pocket or ......" LMAO!!! He's a trip! LOL! I gave Rick the other package of coffee but he left it on our table after the VIP, so a friend of mine was seeing him the next day in NJ, she said she'd give it to him then.

Much of what was said has been posted, but I thought I'd share my personal moments of the VIP event.

I'm hoping that Rick and Greg come back to the east coast real soon!! They are always so much fun to see - I don't think I can wait a whole 10 months till July!!!

I get that impression, too, Val. Thankfully, the NJ event was the first one I've ever been to in which women weren't screaming "Take off your shirt!" every few minutes. That kind of stuff gets old after a while, and frankly, I think it's kind of demeaning. There's a difference between joking around with the actors and being just plain obnoxious to them.
