Sam: Now, this is like stepping into a dream. When Nikolas told me he was throwing a fairy-tale party, I had no idea.

Lucky: Well, my brother -- he may not appreciate Kelly’s chili, but when it comes like this, he's golden.

Sam: He's golden? Well, I am glad we decided to brave it together. You wouldn't happen to be one of those guys who don't like to dance, are you?

Lucky: Oh, I love to dance.

Sam: Really?

Nikolas: Could I have your attention, please? Thank you. First and foremost, welcome. I'm delighted that you all arrived before the storm. Although I understand there's a good chance that it could pass us by completely, making your journey home a pleasantly dry one. In any case, before we get started, I have a couple of brief announcements. First, I am presenting an endowment to safeguard the financial independence of General Hospital, in the name of someone we all love very much, someone we all miss. To the late Dr. Alan Quartermaine.

Nikolas: I sincerely wish that he could be here with us this evening, because I have both the honor and the privilege of announcing my engagement to the love of my life -- Emily Quartermaine.

Luke: Whoo.

Skye: Oh.

Woman: Whoo!

[Cheers]

Elizabeth: Congratulations.

Emily: Thank you.

Nikolas: I'm really glad you came.

Elizabeth: Of course.

[Classical music plays]

Emily: Everything's going to work out for you, Elizabeth, I promise. Don't worry.

Elizabeth: Thank you.

Emily: Hi! Thank you.

Lulu: I'm so happy for you guys.

Emily: Thank you.

Alexis: I couldn't be happier for both of you.

Nikolas: Thank you.

Sam: So great.

Nikolas: Why is Jerry Jacks in my home?

Alexis: Because he was on his way up here anyway -- better with me than alone.

Lucky: Hey, you deserve the best. Congratulations.

Nikolas: Thank you.

Emily: How are you holding up?

Robin: Well, if I'm going to hold on to a little bit of my pride, I might ask to borrow your fiancé for a dance.

Emily: Well, he's all yours -- temporarily, that is.

Robin: Of course, of course.

Emily: Okay.

Nikolas: Thank you. Thank you all. Emily and I would like to thank you for your kind words and good wishes.

[Music stops]

Nikolas: So now I would like to begin this black-and-white ball. May I have this dance?

Emily: Yes.

[Waltz music plays]

[Thunder]

Lucky: It's a long way away from bacchanalia, isn't it?

Elizabeth: Hmm. That's exactly what I was just thinking about -- us sneaking over here and dancing in our tennis shoes and jeans.

Lucky: Yeah, that memory saved me more than once.

Elizabeth: Emily and Nikolas make it look so easy.

Lucky: So do we. When we danced in that ballroom at our wedding night, thought we were going to spend the rest of our lives together.

Elizabeth: They look so perfect. But now I know they aren’t. They're just two people loving each other the best they can for as long as they can.

Lucky: That's what we did.

[Thunder]

Elizabeth: I thought our love could make it through anything. I guess it couldn’t. But I will never regret one moment I had with you.

Lucky: Neither will I.

Lucky: Elizabeth Webber? May I have this dance?

Lucky: For old times' sake?

[Waltz music plays]

[Thunder]

[Music stops]

Nikolas: Thank you, thank you, and thank you for the beautiful music. Now, everyone, please, please join in with us.

[Waltz music plays]


Luke: I'm cutting in.

[Thunder]

Lucky: You are so incredibly beautiful. You always have been.

Elizabeth: Maybe this is how we were supposed to end -- dancing in the courtyard at Wyndemere, where we started out. We've come full circle.

[Thunder]

[Sam claps]

Sam: Everyone thinks that I am a con, but I -- I have got nothing on you. You -- you played Lucky like a real pro.

Elizabeth: You stole Lucky and you don't even want him. And everything you've done has been based on lies.

Sam: What, you're calling me a liar?

Elizabeth: No, I'm calling you an evil, selfish b****.

Sam: Oh.

Elizabeth: You know Jason is Jake’s father. You've known for a while. And yet you stood there and watched my son get kidnapped. You allowed a desperate, unstable woman to walk away with my baby because you couldn't stand for me to have Jason’s child. And when that didn't work, you hired two thugs to terrorize me and my boys in the park -- they pulled a gun on us. Anything could've happened, but you don't care, as long as Jason doesn't get to be with Jake. Huh. What, you didn't think Jason would tell me? He trusts me, and he knows what kind of trash you are.

[Sam chuckles]

Sam: Well, I guess that's a fair trade -- you got Jason’s kid, and I got your husband. Get over here.

Elizabeth: You b****!

Sam: Yeah? Just stop! Lucky will never have you! Jason will never love you! You're going to be all alone with only just --

Lucky: Hey, break it up. Come on, stop it! Get up, that's enough. Come here -- now, wait a minute, stay. What the hell is going on?

Sam: Go ahead! Tell Lucky why we're fighting.
