Lucky's voice: We all think we want the truth. But sometimes when you hear it, you wish you'd gone on believing the lie.

Maxie: I thought you were Anthony Zacchara. He's chasing me.

Lucky: Okay, don't worry. I'll keep you safe.

Maxie: Thank God. Nikolas, can you please tell me how to get back to the ballroom?

Nikolas: What happened? Where -- where were you?

Maxie: Anthony Zacchara grabbed me and tried to get me to play Russian roulette.

Johnny: I'm sorry.

Maxie: Screw your apology. Your dad wanted me to put a gun to my head.

Nikolas: How'd you get away?

Maxie: Your stupid house saved me -- Anthony got all turned around looking for a game room, so I broke a vase over his head and ran. I got lost, but Lucky found me.

Nikolas: Lucky -- you've seen Lucky?

Maxie: Yeah, he dropped me off at the main entryway. I thought I could find my way to the ballroom, but --

Nikolas: Well, there's no one in the ballroom anymore. Everyone's moved to the parlor near the north entrance.

Maxie: Okay, well, I need to get there. Georgie's probably going crazy --

Johnny: I'll take you.

Maxie: Yeah, right. Why would I trust you?

Emily: Maxie, you're probably safer with him than anyone else. He just talked Anthony down.

Maxie: Fine. Come on.

Emily: You see? Nikolas, Lucky's all right. I knew you couldn't hurt him.

Jason: I'll take you down to the stables where you'll be safer.

Carly: Okay.

Sam: You take her. I can take care of myself.

Carly: Would you knock it off? Jason's just trying to protect us, okay?

Sam: Oh, that's right, because that's what he does. He -- he protects the people around him, even though he doesn't give a damn about them.

Jason: Spinelli is already down there with his date and Lulu, and Elizabeth’s down there, too.

Sam: Oh, I'm sure she is. I'm sure she was the first person you rushed to safety.

Jason: You're wasting time.

Sam: Did I bring up a sensitive subject? Lucky.

Lucky: Hey, I was worried about you.

Sam: Oh, my God, I'm so glad you're okay.

Lucky: How's everyone here?

Sam: We're fine, we're fine. Jason's been moving people down to the stables. Elizabeth is there. I -- um -- I think we should go.

Lucky: How long have you been on Spoon Island?

Jason: I don't know, maybe a couple hours.

Sam: Well, you didn't come dressed for the occasion, which means you knew Anthony Zacchara was on the loose.

Lucky: Yeah, you could've warned the guests they were going to be in the line of fire.

Carly: The phones aren't working. Jason risked his life to come here. You're a cop -- wow, Lucky, what have you done?

Jason: This is a waste of time.

Sam: That's Jason's way of saying that he doesn't want to talk about it. Why is that, Jason? You can't stand a little bit of criticism? You want everyone to bow and scrape and tell you how brave you are?

Carly: Will you stop being so pathetic? Stop shrieking at Jason, it's not going to help.

Lucky: You know what? Just leave Sam alone.

Carly: Why, because she threw herself at Jason, and now she's not getting a response, and she's all upset about it?

Sam: No, I am not upset. I would not take you back if you came crawling on your hands and knees.

Carly: She's got it in for you.

Jason: I've got more important things to deal with.

Carly: Yeah, she wants payback. And if she finds a way, she'll get it.

[Pounding on door]

Lucky: Elizabeth, it's me!

Elizabeth: Lucky.

Sam: I bet you're surprised to see us.

Elizabeth: I'm glad you're safe.

Sam: You have been safe all along, though -- Jason made sure of that.

Elizabeth: Jason brought a lot of us here -- Spinelli --

Sam: No, but he brought you here first, which obviously makes you think that you're first in his heart. Well, guess what -- I have been there, and I have done that, and trust me, when it comes to Jason's priorities, you are not one of them.

Elizabeth: He makes his own choices.

Sam: You don't fool anyone, Elizabeth. You love Jason so much that you threw Lucky away for him.

Lucky: Sam, let it go.

Sam: No, I am sorry! You deserve better than this. She lied to you, she cheated on you, she took you for granted, when all along, he deserves to know the truth!

Elizabeth: Shut up, Sam.

Sam: No, I have kept my mouth shut too long already.

Sam: I should never have asked you to bring me down here, because it is not fair to him to be in the same room with you after everything you've done.

Elizabeth: Then leave -- it would be better.

Sam: Oh, that is nice! You would really want Lucky and me to face some flipped-out killer so you're not uncomfortable?

Elizabeth: You know what, if you want to hate me, fine. Leave Lucky out of this!

Sam: Lucky is involved because of you! This is your choice! You could've let him go, but you wanted to drag him along under false pretenses!

Elizabeth: You shut your spiteful mouth.

Sam: Oh, no, honey, you have had this coming for a really, really long time. You had plenty of chances to ma this right, but no. You wanted Lucky chained to your side while you went after Jason, when you lied to him about the most important thing in his life!

Jason: Sam!

Sam: Not only --

Jason: This needs to stop. Right now.
