_____
Luke: Uh -- oh, cowboy.
Lucky: Hey, how you doing?
Luke: Better now. Where you been?
Lucky: I've had a lot to deal with.
Luke: Yeah, I know, I'm sorry. You and Emily have been friends since practically the first day we came here. So how you doing? I hear you're out there on the case, trying to find out who killed her.
Lucky: Em-- Emily's dead?
[Monitor beeps]
Luke: Lulu and Tracy told me that you were out trying to solve Emily's murder.
Lucky: When -- when did it happen?
Luke: At the party at some point. My time frame is a little whacked. What are you wearing? You're still in your tux?
Lucky: Elizabeth and I, we -- we were -- we pretty much ended everything that night. Are -- are you sure Emily's dead? Dad, maybe you're pretty weak right now and you're all mixed up --
Luke: Cowboy -- Emily didn't make it off the island. She was strangled, probably by Anthony Za -- Zacchar -- Zacchara.
[Monitor beeps rapidly]
Lucky: Damn it. No!
Tracy: Calm down. You want to give your father another heart attack? I'm calling the nurse. Sweetheart, shh.
_____
Tracy: Perhaps your father neglected to mention that he's had multiple coronaries and angioplasty and he is awaiting a quadruple bypass.
Luke: He is awaiting nothing. I'm fine, stop worrying.
Lucky: I hadn't heard about Emily, that's all, but -- it's kind of a shock, but I don't want anything to happen to you.
Luke: I'm sorry, cowboy, I didn't know. I thought -- I thought you knew. I was going on what people told me.
Tracy: Your father isn't in very good shape; I didn't want to tell him that his son was unaccounted for.
Lucky: It's okay, I understand.
Luke: I had a heart attack, I didn't get stupid.
Tracy: Luke, you're supposed to stay calm.
Luke: Yeah? Well, nothing raises my blood pressure like being lied to.
Tracy: Lucky, I'm sorry you found out about Emily this way, it's a terrible situation. I'm sure you need to be alone to sort it out.
Luke: Stay here -- if you want.
Lucky: Tracy's right. I need to think things through, so -- um -- you know what? I'm going to just check back in with you later, okay?
Luke: Okay, cowboy.
Tracy: Your heart did not enjoy that encounter.
Luke: I thought I could trust you.
Tracy: You can trust me -- to fight for your life, and if that means saying whatever I have to say or doing whatever I have to do, I will do it in the service of keeping you alive.
_____
Elizabeth: Lucky. I'm really relieved to see you. Are you okay?
Lucky: Why do you care?
Elizabeth: I don't know if you've heard, but --
Lucky: That Emily was murdered? And where was I when my oldest friend needed me? Well, I just found out that my son really wasn't mine, and the woman I've loved for years was a lying b****.
Elizabeth: Okay, I don't want to do this right now. I was just hoping that --
Lucky: You know what? Maybe I could've saved Emily if I hadn't been blindsided by your lies.
Elizabeth: She loved you, she loved me; she wouldn't want us fighting.
Lucky: And now she's gone.
_____
Sam: I'm so glad to see you. Where have you been?
Lucky: Around.
Sam: Look, I don't -- I don't know if you've heard, but --
Lucky: Emily's dead.
Sam: Yeah. I am so sorry.
Lucky: You know, I knew Emily before Nikolas -- or Elizabeth. We were best friends when we were kids. She believed that I would help her out at all.
Sam: Hey -- hey, it was Zacchara. Look at me, Lucky, it was Zacchara. He was crazy, and he probably killed her out of spite or for no reason at all, but you are not responsible for her death.
Lucky: Everything we had -- the history, the memories --
Lucky: They're all tainted now.
_____
Lucky: Well, I built my life around Elizabeth.
Sam: Right, and I made the same mistake with Jason, so I do have some idea of what you're going through right now.
Lucky: Well, if you would've seen us as teenagers, we were perfect.
Sam: Right, but you've got those memories, Lucky, so can't you hold on to them?
Lucky: For what -- the Elizabeth who lied to me about Jake? She's not the same person.
Sam: No, but you grew apart. She just wasn't ready to admit that.
Lucky: No, because she has loved Jason for years.
Sam: I don't know, maybe. Maybe -- probably. She was probably just biding her time. I've got to give her credit, though, because when she found the opportunity, she did take it. She -- she found the most perfect, the most time-honored way of tying herself to Jason forever by having his child.
Lucky: You know what I can't stand? Is to think of Jake as Jason's child. You know, just -- just saying the words --
Sam: Lucky, you just lost your best friend. You lost Elizabeth, you lost your family. You don't have to lose Jake, too.
_____
Jason: Hey, Cam. It's good to see you, buddy.
Elizabeth: He was staring out of his --
Cameron: Good to see you, too.
Elizabeth: Out of his bedroom window at your motorcycle.
Jason: Hey, you know what? Listen. If, uh, your mom says it's okay, one day I can give you a ride on my motorcycle.
Cameron: Oh, yeah.
Jason: Oh --
Elizabeth: Oh. Well, we'll have to see about that. But, Cameron, you have your own motorcycle, don't you? You want to go show -- show Jason? Go -- go get it. What about you, Jake? Want to say hi?
Jason: Hey. There. Oh, thank you.
Elizabeth: It helps to see you holding him, seeing how it's what Emily wanted.
Jason: Jake, your aunt -- she loved you. I didn't even tell her you were my son and she just -- she just knew.
[Knock on door]
Lucky: Elizabeth?
Cameron: Daddy!
Lucky: Cam -- hey, big guy! Oh, God, I've missed you.
Cameron: I missed you, too.
Lucky: You been taking care of your little brother?
Cameron: Yes.
Jason: I should -- uh -- I should get going.
Lucky: Yeah, you should.
Jason: That's a cool motorcycle, kid.
Cameron: Thank you.
Jason: Mm-hmm.
Lucky: Hi, Jake. I've missed you. I missed both my boys.
_____
On the next "General Hospital" --
Sonny: He needs to go to that funeral.
Monica: Rot in hell.
Carly: Listen to me when I tell you this -- go to the funeral.
Elizabeth: Nikolas needs us. I'm hoping we can put aside our differences and take care of him together -- the way Emily would want us to.
