Hi guys! I was kind of bored tonight and trying to think of something new to do here on GVB. I was trying to think of a way that we could get to know everyone better. I know several of us are pals from other sites, but maybe some of us are fairly new to the boards and would like to have the chance to make some new friends. So I was thinking... just introduce yourself. Tell us a little bit about yourself and where you are from, what you like, etc....

So to kick this off....

My name is Chris, but some people call me Birdie. I answer to both. I live in a rural community in West Tennessee. I moved here about 15 years ago from the Chicago suburbs. I love spending time in Nashville whenever I can and hope to move there in the near future.

I love to spend time with friends. I have been very active with my church where I lead a deaf ministry program, I sang in the choir, am on the multimedia team and was doing multimedia for the youth department exclusively. I also helped out with the church website in providing funky stuff for the youth pages of all of our 5 churches. I love being creative so that was right up my alley! I am taking a break from all that at the moment. But when I jump back in I will be going 90 mph once again. When I am with friends we tend to play games or watch movies. I love to do both. Get me in a roudy "PIT" game and oh man! Good stuff.

Well, for those of you that don't know my name is Shelley and live a very small town in Northeast Arkansas. I was born in Harrison and my family moved to Jonesboro after my sister was born. When I'm not working, I love to scrapbook, cross-stich and spend time with family and friends.

My job can be very stressful so when I come home I like to watch my soaps, AMC, OLTL and GH. I have watched GH since Luke and Laura were married and I would set my video before I went to school and watch it as soon as I got home. Also enjoy country music - my friends call me a 'country music junkie'. :D My favorite group is Diamond Rio ~ I have been a fan of theirs for over 10 years and just love them to pieces.

I'm hoping maybe some day I can get a better job and move to either Nashville or Fayetteville. I would love to move to Nashville and have a job in the country music field. I am so thanking for going to SSW last year and meeting B, Mai. If I hadn't met them I wouldn't be here. :D

Hello everyone my name is Ambur and I live in N. Kentucky right outside of Cincinnati Ohio. I have been a stay at home mom to my two young sons for the past 9 years. I stay very involved with their school where I have served on site base council (the decision making body of the school) for the past two years. They keep me busy, but I also stay busy with my Jazzercise classes. I am class manager of a Jazzercise franchise and have been actively involved with that for the past 7 years, I love it and know it will part of my life forever. I am from a large family (7 siblings) and love spending as much time as I can with them. I also love spending time with friends....whether it be shopping, out for a night of dancing, or just chillin' together and catching up! I also love to cook and sinking down into the sofa for a great drama flick filled with tons of romance (I'm hopeless)! I only watch GH and have been hooked since I was a young girl curling up next to grandma learning the "soap opera" ropes, lol! Greg is defintely a favorite of mine and my adoration for him continues to grow. I can't wait to meet him at SSW if he should make an appearance (and he'd better,lol)!!! I also share Shell's country music love ;) ;) !!! Tim and Keith are my fav's!!!!

I can't wait to start posting with so many Greg admirers! I have made some wonderful friends stemmed from all the "Greg Love" and hope to continue to meet new people who share many of the same interests!!!

Hi! My name is Amy. I am from northern Virginia, about 30 miles west of Washington, DC. I have been watching GH for many years and my favorite couples are Jason and Sam, Liz and Lucky, Ric and Alexis, and Nikolas and Emily. I am also a big fan of Days of our Lives and I will watch AMC occasionally if I have the time. I guess you could say I am a bit of a soap junkie!!!! I love soaps! They are my escape from the real world!

I also love to run, cook, shop, scrapbook, travel, and read! I have recently started volunteering once a week at our county's hospital and working in the pediatric oncology department. With all that said, my absolute favorite thing to do is to just hang out with the most wonderful people in the world, my family and friends.

Hello my name is Kathy and I'm a Lucky-holic. I currently live in Mass and will be moving to California in June, 2006. I work full-time, go to college part time (I have one more semester left) and take acting classes on the weekends. Needless to say, I am a bit busy. :wacko: So, yes I am single with no children.

I live in Toronto, ON, Canada. I don't get to see soapstars in person nearly as much as the rest of you. 2 years ago I went to the GHFC luncheon and OMG can I say it was the best ever. I don't think that when I go back it will compare. I got to meet Greg (for one) then, and he just blew me away, the flirt that he is. :wub:

I also used to watch him on Charmed, but became a Gregaholic once I met him. That always does it for me, when the stars I meet are just as nice IRL as they are hot. :D Charmed is one of my non soap fave tv shows still. As well as Las Vegas.

I am also a new country music fan, Blue Rodeo is my fave band in the world, and Jim Cuddy is my GOD. :wub:

Andrea here, aka Blondiegrrl, aka GVsLuckyFan. I'm 33 and I live in the teeming metropolis of Charleston, W.Va. (Heh!) Married with one child. I'm a journalist for a daily newspaper and I also write a GH column for The Soap Scope.

In my spare time (WHAT spare time? lol), I like to do outdoorsy stuff, especially hiking, camping and kayaking. We're very much into the whole science/nature thing here, especially being in the mountains and all. I also write GH fan fiction, and am especially fond of satire.

I'm a hardcore Greg junkie. I fell in love with his Lucky during the "pink bicycle" scene -- back when Lucky was giving Luke a hard time about neglecting Lulu at Christmas. Something in that exchange just moved me deeply, and I've loved him ever since. As a matter of fact, I love him so much that he bumped poor Tyler out of my No. 1 spot, and I've loved Tyler since his FIRST run as Nikolas, so that's saying a lot!

Hey y'all! Checking in with my intro. Geez, I hate this type of post, I never know what to write. :confused: Let's see, I'm in my early 40s, married with 2 boys and live in Texas. :cowgirl: lol, that is so not me btw. I've watched GH for a really long time, with some breaks early on while I was at school or work. I'm slow in accepting recasts, especially for those I consider to be core characters. Of couse, whom I consider to be a core character usually is different from who tptb think is but I digress. :P It took a while and I don't even remember the scene where I finally said this is Lucky but it was a scene with Luke. I'm loving Greg's version of Lucky, it's such a fabulous blend of Luke, Laura & young Lucky with just the right amount of adult Lucky shining through.

What's sup girls?! Hey I'm Amburs sister Francesca and I have heard so many dag-gone good and funny things about you all that I had to check it out, plus there is the hunk of a man Greg and I knew I had to join! I don't get to watch the soap too much but ambur fills me in and i feel like i know everything about it. I do love, love, love Greg and everytime I get a chance I make myself watch it for him.

Obviously I am ambur's sister and I am 23, going to be 24 on the 26th this month and I work at a bank as a Loan Administrator. (By the way Maya, ambur said I remind her a lot of you, it's a good thing right!!! :confused: ) I won't even get into talking about her boys because I could be here all day. They are the most amazing boys and the handsomest (spelling?) little prince's on the planet. :hug2: I would spend everyday with them but getting ahold of Ambur and seeing her alone is hard, the girl is a work horse and excercise fanatic! I admire her a lot!

Hello everyone. My name is Christine. I had the pleasure of meeting Birdie last summer and went to a few events with her, what a blast. We went to Fun in the Sun in Nashville where we were able to hang out with Greg all day. If you ever get a chance to meet him do it! He is the most sweetest star I have ever met. He really takes the time to get to know you and let you know how much he appreciates you.

I'm married with three children. I'm a RN and working on my masters. I own a small business and I have 5 dogs. I love all kinds of music and I'm a psychological thriller movie lover. I've been watching GH for a very long time. My mother started me out at 5. LOL.

I'm finally here, been busy at home so haven't been able to post much.
Plus, on the weekends my dial up takes a vacation and rarely let's me come
online so that sucks.

Anyways, I'm 28 year's old, been watching GH since 1990. I've never been
this infactuated with an actor before. Well, maybe Tyler during his first run.
Tyler was my main reason for going to FCW in 1999 - it was my first trip
there and a college graduation present from mom. She went with me, thought
us soap fans are nuts and never went to another again :P so yay now it's just
quality time for me and my buddies. :soapbox:

Fell in love with Greg on Charmed years ago. Can't wait for it to come on dvd soon. Yikes I hope it's soon. It's being aired on TNT right now - his & Tyler's season so I've been pimping it on all the boards.

Greg is just so down-to-earth. He's the only one on GH that makes my tummy & elsewhere go funny and my knees go wobbly. That look he gives me in my banner - I couldn't talk for 10 minutes after that - just ask Andrea :wub: I should make it bigger I guess. I love him so much I even forgive him for loving country music, and that's huge. I just quit smoking so I'm proud of Greg for trying to quit as well.

Um, what else can I say? Oh yeah - he dubbed me "His Hawaiian Girl" on stage at Cynthia's event last year so I'm know as that pretty much. Debby O wants me to come and surprise the guys at the big event on the east coast but I can't since I'm not working yet and will be recovering from Surgery next month. Nothing serious - something fun actually - for me anyways :D I'll post picture's afterwards and see if you guys can guess what it is.

As for GH - I also love GQ, especially Georgie. I met Lindze last year and we became friends so no bashing Georgie when I'm around ok? Not a big fan of any of the other teens except for Ryan Carnes, Lucas. He's adorable and the sweetest guy ever. Gonna try & enjoy this new story. I'm a new Rexis fan so bare with me. Also love SkyLo. Detest Reese and New Carly. I'm obsessed with Lucky & Elizabeth. Have been since Greg took over and brought my Lucky love back :wub: I enjoy JaSam once in awhile. Other than that - can't stand the rest of the show.
